Well got it out for a track day last week. Relatively hot 85 day for us in the NW....never went over 235F. Of course since I don't remember what it was before...maybe it was always under 235.

I assume you are talking about water temps?

No, he's talking about oil. Remember, he installed that JDM bumper outlet vent for the oil cooler a couple pages back in this thread.

Man, I wish my oil temps were that low.
I use Evans waterless coolant.

switch to water & add water wetter or RMI-25 if you're worried about corrosion.

Evans waterless coolant runs hotter in normal operation and can't imagine how hot on track

Im a loyal customer. We've all been using Evans for years. I do so for a few reasons, one main one being to keep pressures down. I want my radiator to last as long as possible LOL.
There are other reasons I use it, after speaking with one of their engineers, but I won't get into all that in this thread.
Thanks for the suggestion, though.

fair enough.

idk precisely how much evans coolant will impact oil temps but I would say it isn't fair to expect temps on an car running evans in the coolant to run similar temps to a car running water + water wetter without significantly upgrading the cooling system. the engine WILL run hotter on evans, and so too will the oil.

Yep oil temps. I don't have a stand alone aftermarket water temp gauge.

Does anyone know the scaling of the factory coolant gauge? We can all see what it is warming up to normal temp but what does say 75% and 100% to top equate too?

I had a real hot autox day with hot lapping and very short cool down which lead to heat soak. Got up to 75% and wondering how hot that would have been.
