Damaged LCA - Usable?

I trust you guys more than the tech section so figured I'd ask here. My Evo has been my street (aka backup track car for whenever the STi broke) for years so the suspension never really got any attention. I always ran on stock struts and crappy springs. I finally got some coilovers so decided it was time for the Whiteline RCK. I noticed I damaged the end of my driver LCA where the ball joint mounts.

Do you think if I filed down the beat up part the Whiteline ball joint would be okay on here?

It'll be fine. That lip that's ground off/down gets ruined when you change the ball joints anyways. They basically "crimp" it over the ball joint at the factory. When you press the ball joint out, it gets pushed out of the way. The ball joint is a pretty tight press fit, and their is a c-clip on the other side to hold it in. So, like I said, it's fine. Just buy an RCK, install, and ship it..

I agree with him ^. One of those rings ripped off as I was installing my RCK. I freaked out then looked at it and realized it added no strength anyway.
