careful doing that. your brake pedal will be super hard the next time you need it.

Seems being on the brakes after apex would be slower. I'd rather deal with lag LOL
I can't imagine what that would do to the balance of the car.

LFB is for corner entry to keep the turbo spooled, shouldn't be on the brakes at Apex. But as Andy said, its possible to run into issues with running out of vacuum boost. I haven't run into that though cause usually there are enough part throttle corners that build vacuum to overcome it.

Around 19-20 second starts me leaving a sweeper into a straight. Good example of the response you get. Straight looks short, but remember how fast I'm accelerating with 600whp (buschur dyno).

My car, 2.4L and FP black (mhi). If you take all my autox experience over the years it won't add up to one season. So keep that in mind.

Car made too much power, and the boost climbs too fast. I should have detuned significantly for the autox portion. If building a car specific to autox, which I find almost insane these days, this setup would not be good. But if being able to do an autox for fun now and then, and run a 9sec ET (probably 10sec...), and still be faster than 99% of cars you meet on the street- is the right setup.

Not that I'm defending autox, but some would argue that building one of the world's best-handling cars into one that mostly excels at drag racing (as some do) is insane. 😛
We all have our goals.

Not to make this an autox vs track vs drag convo, but we each have our own reasons for building the car our way. For me its a family and friends thing. My wife is my codriver. Look back at nats 2014 (only year I went but drove terribly Saturday, 1-2 sec of my normal pace due to new-ness, shifting, sucking), the only woman in Street Mod was my wife who was prego with my daughter.

Its a very family friendly place to be.

i can agree with this. i have a good friend and his daughter caught the bug. she likes it because she can race the car without going crazy fast and it being dangerous (she's seen him do HPDE and AX both). they used to take their cars, but he sold his so now they share her Neon. that's pretty damned cool, if you ask me.

Definitely agree. especially once you pass that tipping point where the evo drivetrain is more hinderence than help.

I never thought about it that way, but very true. Kinda like how all the fast 1/4mi GTRs are RWD 😢

Slap a stand alone ems in there and rally anti lag will cure your lag disease. Turned it on with my 71hta and it was like driving a 350-400 awhp light switch. 600 is definitely doable
