This is exactly what I was thinking in terms of a wastegate dump in STU. It's exhaust gas, so it has to be catted... In SP and up it'd be completely legal, as long as it exits behind the driver.

Confused by your statement. I don't believe I said anything about 330whp being impossible on stock solenoids. I blieve I said holding that much boost, as in the provided link example, is not possible with the stock solenoids.

Definitely. My post above was in response to the people who were supposedly running wastegate dumps in SP, which I guess could be legal if you ran the tubing back far enough to exit behind the driver.

In ST the wastegate dump thing is just a no-go.

Another question for you guys. Approaching 32k on the EvoX and I'm on the stock pad which are wearing down and will need replacement soon. Any recommendations? Personally I had no complaints about the EvoX brakes and thought they worked well.

If you liked the stock pads, Ferodo DS2500 or Girodisc SS pads will work will. Or you can go more aggressive with Racing Brake XT910 fronts, and ET900 rears.

Hawks HP+ work great but noisy AF!! Much louder/squealier (thats a word right?) than on my previous two cars. It was literally embarrassing loud. On recommendation (Santi's) I'm going with ST43s.

Thats gonna be hard to accomplish as my current set of HP+ literally squeal EVERY time I just touch the brakes (unless I'm on them hard or on the highway) which makes every stoplight a "everyone look at me" show. They didn't squeal like this on my previous cars which make me think it was with just this set of pads, the car/pad combo or that maybe I should've used some anti-squeal. It is what it is I guess... if its gotta squeal then its gotta squeal. This round ill be trying the ST43s... if they squeal too then so be it.

St43s squeel like a banshee. They can be impressively loud. I think it's partly a stiffness issue in the evos calipers cause so many pads are very loud on our cars but not on others.

For anyone having noise issues with their brakes, high copper anti-seize with the oem shims(IX's come with 2 shims) work flawlessly. I've had Hawks HP+, street/race, and dtc 60's and I don't have any screaming noise.

When you think of ST43's, think of a freight train coming to a stop. And you'll have a decent picture of the noise they make.

Are you saying two shims per pad? I just have a single shim per pad and it did make a difference on the ST43s but certainly didnt even come close to eliminating it.

Yup! The shim that clamps on the pad and the shim that looks like it's cut in half on top. That one sits on the pad loosely but doesn't move when you put the pins in the caliper.
