Large rotor mean more brake torque from same clamping force.

Same concept as a stoker crank.

ahh very interesting!

you think you'll do this mod too?

do you guys all have some kind of aftermarket rear trailing arm to clear wider wheels?

I do, yes.

For the +40 offset wheels, just install ARP studs and run a 5mm spacer in the rear, and a 15mm up front.

You should be fine in regards to the trailing arms. But as I said before and others have said, if you want to run wide wheels youre going to need a spacer up front so just do it already.

No, you'll need a spacer and/or a trailing arm. If you don't want a trailing arm, you'll probably need a 10mm spacer and a decent amount of rear fender work.

what kind of trailing arms are there? r/t ernie?

i dont want to keep ramping up the price of doing this swap but maybe the trailing arm needs to be done anyway. do they come with bushings etc? improve any suspension geometry? or is it just for clearance

They're just for clearance. There is not geometry to improve by only changing the trailing arm.

R/TErnie didn't want to make any unless he could sell 5 at once, and he didn't want to do any marketing. So, I made my own. They use a poly bushing (as opposed the spherical bearing that RTErnie used) that is a little squeaky, but I really don't care...lol

lol. Konig has some really nice looking wheels coming out. I've been eyeballing the dekagram for new street wheels, and then retire my Milligrams to track and sell my 17x10 RPF1's. Some day. This whole house thing has me quite broke...lol

They'll be out soon. My 18x9.5 +35 Milligrams weigh like 19lbs IIRC. Not very heavy, especially for the super cool price of 230-250/wheel.

Yeah, their black looks good though. It's not like bbq black. It has a nice satin sheen to it.

This thread is so derailed. Sam honestly I think youre crazy for even considering offset trailing arms if youre planning on only running a 265.
