Quick question about your solostorm. Do you use an external GPS? Seems like the data is rather useless and doesn't even match up to what is going.

When you guys lift at the top of 2nd, the car buck at all?

Mine bucks noticably if I abruptly lift near redline. It doesnt't seem to happen in the lower rev range.

It actually has been doing this as long as I can remember; I never thought about it, given that the car is stock and fairly new (20k miles), but my instructor yesterday (laloosh on this forum) pointed it out when he was riding with me on my first run. He drove a 2014 X in BS last year and it apparently never did that.

So that has been worrying me a bit; I pulled the BOV and looked at it but it looked just fine. No loose vacuum hose or anything I can see.

Any ideas? Car only has a drop in air filter. Or maybe this is year dependant and I am chasing a nonexistent 'problem?'

I would do a boost leak test, but any car is going to buck a bit if you abruptly go from WOT to zero...

I agree, but this felt like something else. At the end of the run I asked Prime if he hit the brakes for no reason or if traction control was on by accident. I never felt that before in my Evo so i figured I would bring it up.

I know certain tuners are more aggressive with the throttle chop on the X since it's controllable in the tune how fast the throttle moves relative to the pedal. That could be it.

No tunes allowed in B-street

Oh...LOL. I guess that eliminates that lol.

Only thing with a vacuum leak is that it would actually make the engine lose revs slower since it would be letting in air after the TB.

I don't want to sound clueless, but can a bad MAF or O2 sensor cause something like this?

O2 sensor is too far in the loop to have any affect at WOT. MAF does have some effect there, but I am not sure how much in this particular case. If you have another EVO, should not be too difficult to swap and test.

O2 sensor would not cause. MAF would cause a global issue. Not a small one.

Few days ago I was checking my OEM rear shocks and realized that we have a pretty large rubber bushing at the top. Anyone knows if those are legal to replace with harder rubber or poly in B-street?

I thought it was no bushings - that's what I go by in HS anyway.

Here are two pictures that shows it - black part right between the washer and the top mount:

Looks and feels like rubber to me!
