Wavetrac on Evo 9?

Anyone running a Wavetrac front lsd on a Evo 9? Sent my t-case in and it appears that it’s cracked and my options are the OEM lsd or wavetrac. Was wondering if anybody had a review on the wavetrac for an evo 9 that a road course/street car.

Wavetrac is fantastic for track/street car. Would not use on hardcore AX car but thats likely to be about 5 people

My housing was recently cracked. Ended up going with a wavetrac (have yet to drive). They are built super stout compared to OEM.

I have one but I don't honestly drive my car tough enough or have enough driving talent to feel the difference. I had it put in when my t-case and trans were upgraded for my new engin (I do everything at once when I have parts out)

You wont and shouldnt feel any difference running the Wavetrac over stock. Its the same style diff and the claimed preload is gone after a few miles. So its just a stronger torsen diff at that point.

Works great a lower steering angles and higher gears turning but AX has high steering angles and large braking forces which equals larger torque bias locking the diff causing understeer. 1way clutch is what all the AX guys run. I have the Mfactory 1way cause wasn't baller enough for the Cusco. Plate stack reduced to 60%.

yeah my lsd is cracked, so it’s oem or wavetrac. I got 137k miles and 25ish track days out of it, so it lasted me a good while. Kind of surprised it’s cracked because when I last drove it, it didn’t show any symptoms nor make any noise.

yeah same here, pulled the motor, trans, and t case for body work so I’m getting everything done while it’s out.
