Tune is already dialed back. The stock intercooler is the issue.

See if real street can get it.. @Abacus

Also, if you're running a cat, I highly suggest a test pipe for the track. The reduced back pressure will help tremendously. Swap the cat out before track days and flash your track map at the same time, wouldn't be a huge deal.

i'll have to check if all the different categories i race in allows for that, but yea that's something to consider.

the intercooler, i'd really like to grab a blitz so I don't bolt on a ton of weight. looks like the ets 3.0 is 24lbs, really not ideal for me..

Yep. SE. That's it. mine didn't come with any tubing or anything. Just mounting hardware.

You're gonna want to mount it to the wall. The build quality is so good, compared to other FMICs I've used, anyway. It's purdy.

Yeah, the blitz is pretty distinguishable by its smooth finished looking end tanks. Pretty well build core. So far, in AX, I havent noticed a difference dropping the ETS down to the Blitz.

I've had the ETS 3.5" wide tank intercooler for about 8 years now and it has definitely withstood the test of time.

I'm late to this discussion but will put my .02 in anyway.

I'm not saying don't upgrade at your HP level but the stock IC is tube and fin, its not the worst piece out there. Most OE use tube and fin so that the cooling system (radiator/ ac condenser) gets the most air possible. For track days its always a good idea to me to splash some octane in or run e85 to help things out. Cheap insurance on your overall investment.

The evo has a pretty strong cooling system and an external oil cooler so cylinder pressure is more of a concern to me. Tune up and octane is a must for me for track days.. Or even street shenanigans .

The Blitz looks like a nice upgrade for the money and your power level. Now, I'd still add octane. It can only help the situation if the engine is still healthy.

I've got my Sebring logs somewhere I could dig up for my ETS 3.5" and Red setup. It was on E85 so I was only concerned with oil temps and turn 17. I've got an open box Plazamaman "950hp" tube and fin I/C (same one thats on the Tilton time attack evo) that I've been eyeballing but it needs custom piping made so I'm holding off. It would be nice to have additional cooling and some weight off the nose .

Upgrading will help to a point to be sure.

Another good suggestion which I resisted for years but it does work well.

I thought the Mil.Spec cats were only made in 100 cell. Was there a 200 cell option?
