How to identify what tune is in the ACD
What’s up guys
So a few months ago I bought a 9 from a friend of mine and have been fixing it and restoring it. He used to track the car and I have intentions of doing some HPDE track days every now and then.
Anyway, the car has a tuned ACD but he doesn’t remember from who or how the modes do as far as settings.
Is there a way to identify who tuned and what the ACD button does?
At some point I’ll try and muster the motivation and start a thread on it

If you download all the available XMLs then download your ROM if its a common variant it will match up with one when its open. But if its a fully custom version then it'll be hard to say what it is.
If you upload it here for us to check I might be able to at least get you in the right direction.

Ok
Ill have to setup the cable to the ACD computer to read it so I can post it
Hey Black E good to see you on the forums and back in an evo!
I always enjoyed reading and learning about your experiences pushing the X. Do you still have the vette? If so, what have you done to it?

Yeah man long time, sad to see this place so abandoned.
So it’s a long story but I’ll give you the short version,
Had the C6 ZR1 and the X but at some point I got bored of the street/roll/drag racing and tried to get in to circuit stuff with that car (the ZR1). I put it almost back to stock (which was still stupid fast lol) and tracked it twice, both times was a huge disappointment of the car’s performance. Ran 250* coolant temps within 3 laps and the transmission started having lockout issues from the heat as well.
Around the same time I completely changed directions on the X and did a track focused build which I only tracked once before I sold it to a local guy by me.
After the X sale I bought a 19 ZL1 1LE, tracked it a bunch, did some mild mods and then stuffed it to a wall in Sebring when I got caught in a downpour with used GYSC3R’s….🤷♂️. Fixed it and sold it.
At that point I decided that it was probably better for me to sell the ZR1 basically stock for a profit instead of cutting it to make it track worthy.
Right after the ZR1 sold I bought a base 19 C7 Z06 which I still have and I have tracked extensively and it is still mostly stock, no tune nor power adders.
Now the Evo 9, that was a dumb purchase because I know these things are not very reliable when tracked on a regular basis but I really missed the connection of the steering feel and the crazy crab walking. I also really wanted something to tinker with.
The Z doesn’t really need anything other the fluids, pads and tires. It’s so well sorted that I just don’t want to mess it up by ****ing with it.
The 9 was a track car, I had worked on it and did all the tuning when the original owner was running it in NASA TTB or TTA back in like 08/10 or something like that and he actually won a national championship back then too.
So for me it’s a restore and enjoy a few track days and autoX here and there, something I can thinker with and develop for myself.
I have a bunch of stuff up on my YouTube channel since the forums all seem to be dead.
But if you guys are interested I may do a build thread on the 9, although at this point it’s mostly on video.

Hey @black E ! Yea the forums are dead for sure, especially this one. Facebook is more active but 5,000% more morons there. I sold my Evo 10 earlier this year. End of an era for me. I think you know I have a MK5 Supra now.
@RazorLab yeah man seen some of the Supra stuff on your YouTube.
Facebook is tough for us old timers hahaha
No continuity, no way of keeping track and a endless stream of the same crap same questions.
The crazy part is that anything you search car related almost always brings you to a forum like this one yet people don’t use them anymore.
You up in Jersey now?
We should plan a midway meet up at some point. I’m making the trip to VIR mid October, maybe we can meet there at some point next year?

I've been dumping mine here ( https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...thread-13.html ) though I wonder if it wouldn't be better served here in motorsports for the ~50 of us that are left
