Tcase & rear diff fluids?

Ok so I’m getting ready to do all the drivetrain fluids on the 9. The guy who I bought it from gave me all OEM fluids that he had for the Tcase, rear diff and trans (5 speed)
The rear diff has the Shep max plate or something (makes some clanking noises when making tight turns) and the tranny is also done by Shep. I’m not sure what’s done to the Tcase if anything.

Question is, what are the track guys running for drivetrain fluids these days and how often are you changing them?

Is OEM the way to go still for the Tcase and Rear diff?
On my X I had Shep do my tranny, Tcase and rear diff and used OEM diaqueen in the Tcase and rear diff.
In the tranny I really liked the Amsoil 75w90 manual trans fluid.

I've been using diaqueen in my rear and t case on track for the past 11 years and amsoil in my trans. Tre recommended using diaqueen for t case and rear and said amsoil was fine for the trans. I normally change them every 2 years depending how many miles I have on it( between 1k and 2k miles)

^ This if it's being heated up. Diaqueen is good for daily with spirited driving but if you read said TRE recommendations he advises the Redline over it esp on his built units. Unfort I believe redline is or already has discontinued the 80w140 and opted for the 75w140 GL5. You can also use 75w140NS in the trans if it's a track beast.

  • Redline Shock Proof in front diff
  • Redline 75/90 in rear diff..

Why the GL5 gear oil over the MTF?

That was 6 months ago, redline and distro reps saying it was unavailable with no eta, then Redline took it off their site at the time. Maybe it's coming back - but the jist is that the 80 formula is ancient and the 75 formula is superior is every way so why keep making the ancient one. Almost like they made it so thick back to the be able to hold up, but today's technologies have overcame that. It goes on, like you can't get 75w110 in gallons, Distro's wont sell individual gallons anymore just the case of 4, and all sorts of other stupidity with RL they claim.

The NS is non-slip, so it removes the limited slip additives that kill the syncros and such. The MT-90/85 is just a tad too thin for Jon @ TRE's track use recommendation.
