cusco_awd has quite the mouth on him; or he is just a hardcore keyboard warrior. Assuming similar mods, fuel, etc. a DSM doesn't stand a chance, especially the 16G pump gas ones. Not to mention, there is a whole lot more to a car than just power.

Has anyone ever been able to figure out the animosity DSMers have towards Evo owners? Is it the fact our cars are newer? More expensive? DSMers from MN are the same way, until one day they drive an Evo then start saying how much they want one...

I'm a DSM fan as well. However I haven't had a single DSM pull my Evo yet. Not saying there aren't any down here that would buuuuuuuut I haven't yet.. So I'm interested to see some "big power" DSM's.. And of course Evo's.

+1.

I'm not sure where the thoughts that a DSM can out power an EVO mod-for-mod come frome, but evidently they feel like it does. That's why I want this dyno day.

Well, I just came on the scene this year, but Mudpit has it out for any shop pro-EVO. I'm not sure why. Most of the DSMers on the DI boards have NO respect for EVOs. They feel that the tuners are crap and that no one really knows the 4G63 like Mudpit does.

I heard Nikidanny state he saw a white Talon TSi and wanted to play with it. Some DSMer said, "you might not want to play with that one.." and Danny has a 35R!! LOL! They treat us like we are driving around in Honda accords!

Here in NY we do this kind of stuff all the time, we have so many brackets of cars that we compete on the dyno its not even funny, or even just who makes the most power for supra class, evo class, civic class etc.

Here is a little something thas comming up

This sort of thing is crazy; we're all Mitsu-enthusiasts and there is no reason for us to not get along! A lot of the Evo-knowledge was gained from DSM experience and I've seen quite a bit learned on Evo's translated back to the DSM's. Hopefully if we have this type of dyno-day it can be all in good fun and nobody gets too carried away.

i came from the DSM world just like most of you guys and i would NEVER EVER say that my dsm was better than me evo, and i had my dsm making some decent power and it was constantly breaking for even being a newer one 1998...soooo who ever says dsm is better they just plain ignorants, and they just talking **** cause they cant have an evo, lets just be honest. As for the history of the car wtf is a dsm? Its a car that saved chryslers *** in the 1990 and mitsubishi helping by providing the almighty 4g63, NOT one single dsm was even shipped or made in japan because mitsubishi knew the quality of dsms and they didn't want a ****ty car in their country when they already had the EVO, Supras, RX-7, Skylines and more and more... dsm owners think that because their car has a the almighty 4g63 then that means that they own the streets, but an engine is nothing worth when the trans, t-case and everything else takes a **** at 350whp..

The EVO community took what the DSM'rs of old took a decade to built from zero knowledge apply it to your cars and think you're doing something special. That's the problem that most DSM people are going to have with the EVO community you have no idea where you're coming from. We see alot of the same mistakes being made needlessly because you ignore the fact that you're working with a 20 year old powerplant and think that DSM knowledge does not equate to EVO knowledge.

That's why if you look at the number of EVO's running GT35 turbo's or bigger that make less than 500HP that number will be greater than what you find in the DSM community.

So yes the evo community attitudes sucks and in 10 years you'll all figure it out till then you're going to be the poster child.

Runt

Just sayin.

Last I checked a lot of Evo owners are previous DSM owners, especially the VIII/IX guys. I owned 5 and I know I'm not alone. There are a lot of DSM's with very poor setups just like there are Evo's.

I wish i was informed of this.Thank you for advising.
I doubt i will be attending this event due to childish behavior such as this and lack of clear classes. Please continue to fabricate statements for public amusement.

Most the childish behavior seems to be coming from the DSM camp. Also, as far as the lack of clear classes, it is nothing more than an idea at this point since no actual planning has taken place. I'll be talking with Cobb tomorrow so we'll see what comes of it.

Seriously, everyone have a beer, hug, and make-up so we can actually plan big events with great turnouts where everyone can get along, have fun, and learn from one another!

Ligo,

My comments were made based on implied comments about the setup of EVOs and your comments concerning them. I have no intention of giving you a bad rep. So I apologize if it comes out that way. I do, however, believe you feel you know the cars more than anyone around. And that's ok if you feel this way.. I just want to see what these DSMs can do!
