Smike/Kracka - It sounds like we have limited interest in our group. Do you guys think it's worth approaching the Porsche club to see about doing this in a joint venture? I would hate to get us commited and have the PCA guys excited only for 3-4 Evo's to show up.

And don't be misslead here, there will be money involved... Insurance and location rental has to be paid for somehow (not to mention equipment costs that the PCA may incur).

Go ahead and start the process if you want. I think a good first step would be to talk with the proper contacts and figure out how much money you're looking at to make this happen. I know how much insurance on an autocross event costs, and my guess is this will be even higher since it involves more than ~60 MPH.

I think it depends on the area and room for 0-100 run. If we got an old air field, its easy. Parking lot - not going to happen.

I agree, get some ideas on pricing. Having a mix of Evos, PCA cars, Corvettes, (SVTF), might add to the fun.

Again, talk to David with Texas Time Trials. Maybe pitch is more as a Test and Tune than "performance speed testing" is the better way to go.
