His gains were good considering he's still on the stock turbo, Mitsu did a very good job on the stock X manifolds. MAP's data for their ported intake manifold with a stock turbo is here: http://www.maperformance.com/maperfo...x-im_rev3.html
I do think that intake manifold would have been a better choice than the Blitz, but obviously not my decision and just my opinion. The tubular header will do him well once he gets a larger turbo. I would like to see what a ported ex mani does on the X though; they're dyno-proven on the 8/9 but I've yet to see any hard data on the X.

i agree with that... if you know hollywood of evo x, he is still in between map ported stock mani vs map tubular. another very good excuse for a green or red....i think it is part of the plan to say later... Honey I think i need a bigger turbo....lol.

Did he ever do that back to back testing he was talking about? Any sort of testing at all?

Hmm, that power seems kind of low. Here is an overlay of my car with less modifications and 1 less pound of boost. Note this is when JJ had it dynoed, I didn't know at the time, but one of my plugs was messed up for the dyno day. Also, on the dyno it states I have an AMS FMIC, but at that time it was running the stock intercooler.

Aw why'd you go back to pump? You will probably be making the same numbers on your new turbo on pump as I am on E-85 so I guess I'll have to wait for our run until you get the new turbo put on

I am getting about 180-200 miles tank on the E-85.

Post pics!

I'm going to have to agree with Krisiun here, when I bump your graph, Tom, against mine, I see a little more torque and a little less power, not nearly what I'd expect for the differences in hardware between our two cars. (And with you pushing a pound more boost.)

One other thing, I know comparing cars is apples to oranges, but LVSBB6 reported 10whp and 15wtq gains from just installing the Blitz intake and a tune on the stock turbo. It will obviously benefit you in the future with a bigger turbo, but if it were me I would try to find out where I was missing power now before throwing more parts at it.

Where the above claimed gains peak numbers or didn't he say? In the midrange Tom picked up 22whp and 28wtq (~4300 RPM).

Before I ran 26.7 PSI this tune was 26.2 I think the real difference between cars, comparing alot of MR's is that for 2010 or even my specific car as it was going down the assembly line, my turbo was just slightly different. Who knows. Bottom line; its not the tune thats defective or bad or anything else.

Calvin pushed the boost higher but the car made no more power so he backed it off a bit. Im truely at the limit of this turbo now.

Like Kracka said I picked up a LOT of low and mid range all the way up to the end. The car is ALMOST as fast on pump now as it was on E85. I am doing a bigger turbo and cams and then we will see whats what.

If the torque is not too dangerous high I will so an e85 tune for grins. I do also plan on upgrading the tranny as well but it all takes money and Bill Gates... I am NOT.
