NTEC Cruise

Ok I want to plan another Cruise.

August 6th and 7th. Shreveport, LA. Gambling, drinking, and general fun.

Thanks for the route Kracka. It goes thru some really nice forests/national parks.

Here is the hotel. Its $184 per night for the one night and it doesnt matter if you take one person per room or 4. You can divide it up. Please provide feedback on the hotel. I dont want to EXCLUDE folks due to room pricing. So if this is too much we can always stay at the Holiday Inn for $69 per night. But dont wait to long.

I like the idea of #1, that could be a ton of fun since neither Janelle or I have been down there.

I would be up for either one. Just need the final date to line up sitters for the wee ones.

June 25th would work for me, but I am concerned it won't be enough time for people to make the necessary plans.

July 23rd I'll still be up in MN

How about we plan for a weekend in August sometime? That will give everyone plenty of opportunity to make the needed arrangements plus give us time to map out a good cruise route.

Shreveport on August 6th-7th it is!

Who's in? Tom and I are already working on what should be a fun route and nice hotel/casino.

1. Supraboy1 +1
2. Kracka +1

My club up in Minnesota does two cruises a year, spring and fall, and I've been flying back for them since they're so fun. PlanoEvo and Rmondoh have joined me and they agree and what a great time these overnight club cruises are!

This is going to be great, I'm going to make a new thread soon with more info and details. Thanks for getting this going!

I just threw a route together last night which, as Tom said, goes through a few national forests and for the most part stays off major highways which should be very scenic and fun. I'll continue to tweak the exact route with the help of Tom and Armando up until we actually go.

The El Dorado hotel/casino looks pretty cool and Janelle and I will definitely be staying there. Like Tom said though, if the cost is too high to stomach please feel free to split the room between 4 people or stay at a nearby cheaper hotel! We'll still all hang out and have a great time Saturday night then all meet up Sunday morning for breakfast before heading back to DFW.

How many people in NTEC run E85 as their main fuel? With E85 not being as common around TX as it was up in MN, that really puts a limit on what a cruise route might be unless people want to carry jugs of it in their cars (which I would assume most wouldn't want to do). For the size of TX and how long it would take to get somewhere, pump gas is almost certainly required. Do the E85 guys have dual tunes because that would certainly help with getting this cruise put together.

Armando is right, I've been checking out the E85 station locations in TX/LA and it will be impossible to run E85 on this cruise unless you carry jugs of it in your trunk. If you start with E85 please have map-switching or another tune to run once you're forced to fill up with pump gas. This won't be an issue for the cars tuned with an Accessport since if nothing else you can just run a Stage 1 or 2 OTS map, but it's the ECUFlash cars we're more concerned about.

I plan on running e85 for the trip there. I have calculated it out. I plan to carry three 6 gallon jugs. This should be enough to get me there with no problems. I have an additional 2 6 gallon jugs someone is welcome to borrow.
