I ended up getting a 1/4 lb. black angus hot dog from Jake's and it hit the spot! Poppy seed bun, spicy mustard, and pico...YUM. Supraboy1, his wife, and Kevin from Cobb joined me for a late lunch.
It's a shame the jakes in plano (Parker just west of 75) closed down. I work near the Addison location so not a huge deal.
Speaking of burgers, village burger bar is my #1 now.

Kenny's Burger Joint > Village Burger Bar
Jake's has a new location in Grapevine and one opening in Frisco.

i still love VBB though because for $6.25 i can get a burger with: goat cheese, garlic aioli, fire roasted chilies, grilled jalapenos, roasted red peppers, sauteed mushrooms and caramelized bourbon onions for no additional cost.
the collective taste of a pretty good burger with these specialty ingredients really makes it for me.

Know what burger place I miss? Love Shack in Denton! It was a bit on the pricier side for a burger as each topping was additional, but it was an awesome burger ground in-house with sirloin and brisket.
Have you tried Liberty Burger yet?

I know this is quite a trek for everyone over on the Dallas side of DFW, but H2 burger in Downtown Fort Worth has fantastic burgers. It's a really small place just 1-2 blocks south of Texas de Brazil but the burgers are awesome. Plus they have all kinds of root beer flavors and a few creme sodas too.
Play Money

$1,500 is a nice start. What do you have so far?
*edit*
From your signature:
AMS UICP
Cobbs turbo inlet
Cobbs SF intake
Apexi DP
Cobb HFC
Greddy Ti-C CBE
COBB ProTune
You have a decent list already, $1500 would get you a turbo, but not the tuning or supporting mods. How about a LICP, 3-port BCS, ported exhaust manifold, ported intake manifold, ported throttle body, and a retune?
That should land you under your $1,500 mark with plenty leftover to pay for some installations or bribe friends to help with beer/pizza.
Or you could take the suspension route with some swaybars, lowering springs, roll center kit, an alignment, and some new brake pads. Again, well under your mark.
