First off, sorry I really need to vent a bit and everyone I know is at work or in class right now... I have the utter most hatred towards my mitsu service dept manager wanna be dude right now... I dont want to do anything stupid so I thought i'd vent it out here... As some know, my baby has been in the body shop for the past 3 and a half weeks... Everything is all done except putting in the SST cooler fluid in (oh and i also realized this morning that insurance bought me a new BBS rim instead of fixing the one I had). Simply enough right? I have the AMS sst cooler but they didnt know how much fluid they had to put in which is fine and I told them about 8 times that its oem + 1/2 quarts. I was ok with them not knowing that however... When I told them they didnt need to replace the rim today as I am getting new tires put on tomorrow so they wouldnt put an extra effort for it to do it today, he was shocked that I had a new rim sitting in the back seat... Keep in mind they had the car since last afternoon.

That ticked me off a bit as they didnt even give a rats *** about it... But what really hit me is the fact that the manager wanna be said that he would have to call the body shop and see if they will pay him for the fluid and labor and wait a few days for the fluid to arrive... The thing is there is a god damn gallon of it sitting in the passenger seat!!!! That right there pissed me off and it was above the threshold I can handle right now...

All this followed by; I got an appointment from the mitsu service dept for tomorrow to put in new brake pads, spark plugs, new tires and they wanted to do half of it today and half of it tomorrow and the car should stay at the mitsu over night. That is a big no no for me, if the car is drivable it will NOT be sitting at a damn place so some employee can take it for a joy ride (i dont trust anyone with my car nor will I take any risks like that) or worse. The body shop is actually closed on the weekends and I wouldnt be able to get my car back (fully repair, ready to go right now, except sst fluid) till Monday. I already waited 3 and a half weeks for a new bumper, foglight, undertray and sst cooler (with other front bumper related crap like brackets, etc...) for this long and I will NOT wait any longer due to the mitsu service dept. The mechanics that work there are pretty good people and they havent tried to screw me over even once and they always did a good job which is why I kept going there but this was it. I am not giving a dime to that dept from now. I will drive 200 miles if I have to for the simplest things...

I apologize again... I just wanted to throw it out there to keep my temperature down and not blowing up on a person.

edit: @chad, oh man I would pay to see that lol. They gave me an hour and a half till she will be ready.. I gotta run to the bank, get a cashiers check, pay the body shop, return the rental in less than an hour... Gonna be fun, hopefully I wont get any speeding tickets lol.

edit again: Since the mitsu dealer took A ****IN DAY to put in the sst cooler fluid into the ams one... The body shop wasnt able to take a final look if everything is all ready and clean it up also the fact that the body shop is closed on the weekends... I will get my baby back on Monday. 3 more days of feeling like a 90 year old man with ED yay... I am hitting up the bars tonight though to fix my ED feel...

i talked my mom into buying a 2011 Mustang GT. It's a automatic but still a fun car. I'm trying to talk her into letting me atuocross it next month while the evo is down. 412hp RWD will be fun on the autox course

I was going to get one of those before the nuclear reactor in Japan killed my chances of getting a black one (for a while anyway). Since I wasn't feeling patient -- and due to a couple of other factors -- I went with the Ralliart.

However, I will say that since I got my car, I've been comparing it against what I *was* going to get. Mine's much faster. Not saying the GT can't be upgraded to beat me...actually I'm sure it's got me by at least a little already....(though the V6 doesn't stand a chance).

What I have noticed, though, in comparing the three (GT, V6 and me) my TQ is already well above the V6 and near the GT's starting level. By the time I've done all the Stage 3 mods from COBB, only a modded GT would have a chance.

Not that I race....just nice to know the car I went with has some ***** compared to the others I was looking at. Mix that with the added maneuverability of AWD and I think I made a good choice.

But still....those '11-'12 GT do look damned hot.

I really dont understand what is so "amazing" about the 5.0s... Yea their performance isnt half bad, especially compared to the other mustangs but it is no evo. I test drove a couple 5.0s (when I was stock and stage 2) and they are no where as good as an EVO.

I was hoping I would be surprised and shocked after I test drove a couple of them but I was disappointed in every single time... I even did rolls against them and smoked them... There are only a few muscle cars I would bother with, zo6/zr1, shellby gt500 convertable (why convertable? I cannot see **** in camaros nor mustangs) and perhaps the zl1 camaro...

Then of course there being 1 of half the earths population from grandma's to meth addicts driving the mustang too... So any money spent on a mustang is a waste of money if you ask me... All personal opinion though, not trying to start a flame war or anything...

The new 5.0 is a great car. Plenty of power, handles great. But it is definitely no Evo!! My dad is thinking about a 2012 GT500. They have the mustang bug now and my dad has always wanted a shelby. My brother drives a 2010 Camaro SS and I don't like it.

The only v8 car I would even think about trading my evo for would be a z06.

Or if I wasn't going to race anymore a CVS V Wagon or a E63

Camaros are terrible, SS has v8 but it is laughable lol. I was very close to buying a 2011 gt500 convertible about 4 months ago but then I decided to just mod the evo instead and I am glad I did.

I would have to agree, zo6 would be the only good ones to bother with... But there is zie godzilla close to that price range you know :P g t r

yeah used gtrs are starting to get into the mid $60s. I just worry about them being beat on kind of like I do buying a used evo. z06 of the same year is in the mid $50s with lower cost maintenance and are probably a little better taken care of by their owners I would imagine. Every z06 I see around here has some 60 year old guy in it doing 65 in a 70.

At least he raced his car and wasn't worried about insurance.

One blown up Evo and one crashed Evo; sounds like it was a productive day

People ask why I don't track my car, there is the answer x2.
