91 Octane?

Anyone know where the closest place I can get 91 Octane? I need to pick it up for a tune on 6/1. Mahalo in advance!

the 91 here locally in DFW sucks... its all old and never used. Think about it, when you go to some 7-11's, you sometimes have FIVE choices.... who ever says "im gonne save 5c a gallon and skip out on the 93"?

You want 91 from a tank that actually gets used... go to Oklahoma.

Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to get to Oklahoma between now and when I leave, much less before I need the tune!

The stations that sell 5 grades use blender pumps. They only have 3 tanks in the ground

Do you know if HI uses ethanol in their gas? It will make a difference. You might have Calvin make you a less aggressive tune and do some logging when you get there to make sure you're not having any knock.

Hrm. No idea. I will ask them in the Hawaii forums.

I would be shocked if they didn't; EPA allows up to 10% blend nationwide, and with the current market conditions any blender not blending at the full 10% needs to hire new accountants.

Yeah...Hawaii uses 10%. Apparently the pumps on military bases have 92 octane, so if I make some military friends or con my parents to come visit, I'll have access to 92. Woooo.......

I'd personally run a quality brand 91 over some unknown government-grade 92. I'm not sure if HI has BP stations, but if they do their 91-spec is actually 91.8 octane.

Knowing my history, I'd just end up picking up another one in a few years...

I'm not going to sell it! It's going to look so good with a surf rack!
