depends on your budget. what do you have to spend?

Just looking for a really good set-up. No cheap stuff. Price not too important.

I put some new advan wheels and tires on and they tend to rub when i have people in the car of make hard turns. I want something stiff and adjustable.

Maybe if I was going for really high rpms or something. The balance shaft spins at twice the rpms of the motor. Given the sensitivity of our knock sensors I don't see it as the best idea.

what type of racing do you mostly plan on doing?

front & rear sway bars.
a full set of poly bushings.
rear strut tower brace.
sub frame cross members.
harness bar.

all of those things will help stiffen the car up.

Balance shaft removal with the motor still in the car is rather difficult from my understanding. And seeing just how long they actually are. The are nearly 3/4 the length of the block , so you would need to be able to extract that length from the oil pump side of the motor. I just dont see it happening. But I could be wrong

BR removes them upon building his stage 3 blocks and then fully balances the motor minus the shafts. I wouldnt bother with such a "mod" unless I had to remove the front cover / oil pump and what not for a reason then maybe its worth doing the removal. But I still dont see how it can be done in car!!!!

Noise wise there is almost no discernible difference in volume.

Evodan swapped his unresonated with a resonated one and you couldn't tell the difference.

A HFC or second muffler where the cat goes will quiet that car down a good bit.

edit: Removal and/or modification of factory emissions system is still illegal.
