Exactly , This thread has been ongoing for us locals to come into and talk online. Most of us Local Pittsburgh Guys know each other. And yes we talk some smack to each other and yes this thread has long been off topic. But it is our thread for us local guys to B.S. to each other.

Now due to some I am going to assume new local owners coming in and getting bent out of shape over some silly stuff. We all the sudden need to watch what we say to each other. That sucks a bit.

So if I come in here and say I flame all over DennyT4 who bye the way is a local friend of mine who lives literally right down the road from me. I may face some points and potentially have this thread locked . Due to 2 friends just E-Smack talking.

I truely feel that this thread does not require moderating much , it seemed to do a fine job sorting thru on its own in its exsistence over these last few years.

Yeah, thats the whole point I would think.

 

Four and a half years and still a pretty active local community.

I'd agree with Steelcity, we must be doing something right.

Occasionally we get a speedjunkyz type of troll but they flame out pretty quick.
The arrival of our most recent such local really brought the mod hammer down hard.

In time they'll leave us alone again.
For example the obsession with not being allowed to post local stuff for sale was just silly.

 

Yep, this is your thread to BS with one another. I can appreciate giving friends **** as much as the next person =) and in the event that points are accidentally handed out over something like that I'll take care of it. Most the time unless it's exceptionally egregious or you've been warned about it in the past, the most that is going to happen is that the post will be deleted.

As far as this thread being self-moderating, I agree 100% on that on most points. There are certain things that can be let slide and certain things that can't. Promoting your shop as a non-vendor in here or trying to bypass the classifieds rules are two great examples of what wont be allowed.

Regional classifieds were created for just this purpose. Create a FS post there and link back to it from wherever you'd like. It's really not that big of a deal.

I will try and give you guys a write up from last weekend hillclimbing. Just more of the same here. The car is wicked and just stuns my fellow racers. I ended up 2nd out of 85 cars and beat the SM record by 4 sec. In fact the king of the hill is a multi national champ that races a car that runs on 3 snowmobile engines and had downforce equal to a f1 car. I was told that he was talking about letting me drive his car except he thought I would actually beat him! Lol . I also won some tire contingency money. So far this has just been a great season. It's great to have the respect of all the competitors now. There are a few cars that bring everyone to the course to watch and I happen to be 1 of those. Pretty cool feeling etching my name amoungst drivers that have gone on to be racing legends. The EVO will be remembered by quite a few people for many years to come.
