You may want to consider the HTA Green - once u start hitting the 450+ hp mark DD ability starts going down hill - parts break, etc etc. If you want a lot of power be prepared to have a lot of maintenance and repair budget...

Also unless you want the minimal boost u can run to be 25 psi get the 18 psi wastegate

If you spend $10,000 in parts and work on your car you should plan to spend at least half that per year keeping it running right. Its a good rule of thumb. Transfer cases, trannys and clutches are expensive.

Actuator spring rating is pretty much up to you. Regardless of what fuel you run you probably won't make less than 25psi, on the other hand I don't think you'll tire out the 18psi spring either

Rubbish.

I have it on good authority that EVO's do not fail until they reach over 636whp.

Luckily I have good enough job to afford repairs should they arise. Plus since the car isn't driven/raced daily my repair issues should be kept to a minimum. But you know that never happens. I'm definitely getting the Exedy clutch installed this spring. I've had it sitting at the house for 3 months. Plus I'll need a good set of summer tires.

As far as transfer case problems really they are not as much of a problem people like to think actually , stock case is stout unless you really start to launch the car and experience wheel hop and even what I would consider a low HP evo say around 350whp can break a case with wheel hop. I have destroyed mine twice but it happens

Do what u want with your car sir , it's yours if u want big power go get it but ya it will cost you money all the time or down time you gotta be willing to accept both !!!

Thanks Dan. I plan to do a bunch of Flat Out days at Beaver Run this year. I really don't plan to ever drag race the car, so wheel hop should be kept to a minimum. Though you never know.

Then truly I doubt u will have much issue with your case then , keep it fresh on fluid changes and u deal with Daniel he will keep your stuff in top working condition , if u make 500whp on BR's dyno your case will live a long life even , specially with that style of racing

I second the no need for AEM. The stock ecu is plenty capable these days with new patches and options being opened it seems every few months. The green would make for a great autox or road racing turbo, I would also be anxious to see it on the strip. She is a torque monster down low, boost hits hard and FAST.

On another note. I think I might be starting to hear the transfer case whine, son of a... Going to swap out the fluids and see what is going on. Also swapping out the dc sports all on one dp/cat delete, I need to quiet this thing up.

Oh well. My trip to shep for tcase and transmission might be sooner then anticipated.

what causes, or what can i do about wheel hop? is there even a real answer to this question. the other week, right before i got my snow tires on, i had passed the break in period on my clutch. naturally i was itching to try it out. instead of going ***** out all at once i decided to launch from just 5000-5500rpm and just slip and go (like i usto with the old stock POS). well i got tons of wheel hop so i just stopped after that. (plus i was right by home so no more launch op.s)

i think the problem is, in normal summer conditions that type of launch usually wouldnt slip at all but since the tires were pretty cold, now they did. im not that worried about it but i hate being ignorant, i like to know why

If your looking for a stock frame turbo and you want to do track days I would take a look at BBK Full and the future BBK XL. Great power and power under the curve plus backed by Chad Block at CBRD. I will be going with one after I see some BBK XL numbers.
