In the winter it's a silver cavalier that's beat to hell. I was standing outside the theater with my buddy and saw you pull up.

I live in Monroeville and work in McKeesport so I went to see shutter island after work

How is shutter island? Worth seeing? Thinking about seeing it today.

Shutter island was long. Filming and imagery was amazing. Leonardo has definately proven himself as an amazing actor.

Was it the best movie I've ever seen? No
was it worth my money? Yes definately worth seeing and I'll probably see it again when it comes out on DVD.

I heard there is a scene when Leo is shirtless...that's more than worth it for me.

He is so dreamy. Nothing wrong with a man crush... Well maybe a few things wrong with it.

If you're really into film I think you'll appreciate it more, it's not getting real crazy reviews. I work in a psych ward so I guess I'm a little more vested in the plot

Succeeded in putting evo8 brembos on my wrx, so nice to have big brakes again. I traded away my stop techs for forged 18x9.5 work wheels and have missed the brakes ever since! Pics are up on my Facebook.

gently used EVO

So...I think I found my next EVO. Took it for a ride on Saturday, it performed really well, faster than my Red EVO.

Just one concern I have....there is a slight lifter tick noise at idle. The performance of the car shows no issues, it idles fine, no problems with smoke anywhere or leaks....just a slight ticking noise.

I have read on some threads this is normal, but at least on my two EVO's owned in the past, I never heard any ticking noises.

The car is pushing some higher boost 27psi with 11.7 afr's and dynoed at 363 whp. They did get the car up to 390's whp at 30psi. I am just wondering if the car has been pushed too much? hence the lifter noise?

thoughts?

What all has been done to the car? Does it have cams installed?
Though all Mitsubishi cars I've had a little bit of ticking inside the engine compartment.

Yes, I have always had a slight tick. Nothing obscene, but noticeable.

how much lifter tick are we talking jim? i think my can has a good amount of tick, but it has since day one and i guess is comparable to other evos.

how does it come to the noisiness of your previous evos?

The car doesn't have anything radical engine wise. Stock turbo, TPG Tuned ECU, stock cams, cone air filter, custom IC piping, Megan downpipe, no cat, no muffler.

My silver evo had 272's in it, but they always sounded loppy like cams should, so if they had a tick, I never heard it
