i'm not exactley known for my talents of observation
Got directed to this thread. I am reading a bunch of crap on page 229 about SBR's dyno and ours and numbers.
Here are my responses.
First off, you are correct, you cannot compare a $75,000 Mustand Dyno to a $120,000 Dynapak but not in the way you were trying to put your point across. The Dynapak calculates HP with the same mathematics that Dynojet does, that's obvious by both the Dyndapak and Dynojet spitting out almost identical numbers, both of which are rediculously high and BS. The BS is factual as they just interviewed the owner, designer, originator of Dynojet a few months ago who admitted the numbers are scewed to match FLYWHEEL numbers. This is fact, please don't waste time argueing about it.
Next, our BR330 and BR350 cars are advetised on an estimate of FLYWHEEL hp. The reason we do this is you can't have a guy buying an EVO advertised from the factory to have 286 hp and then give him a dyno sheet that says 285 whp and try to explain where his 330 or 350 whp are. We baseline the cars, on our dyno they make about 214 whp. The BR350's make an additional 70 whp, which we add back to the base number coming up with BR350. The last two EVO 9's we built into BR350 cars dyno'd 296 and 299 to the wheels.
Also, about the dyno and the shootout. The numbers at the shootout I did think were wrong and also made a post about that. I also said in the that same topic that while I THOUGHT they were wrong abviously they were not as all the cars that made big power that weekend (the ones that I knew what they should make and made more) also backed up the increases in power with ET and MPH records at the track. My RS had previously made 420 and then at the shootout made 451. It also went from running 11.11 at 124 mph to 10.8 at 128 mph.

Our next Local Pittsburgh Meet is on Satuday October 21, 2006 at 7pm.
Location will be at the Waterfront near Homestead PA behind AMC-Lowes theater across from the Marriot hotel and the Costco Construction Site.
At this meet I hope to bring my laptop/cable and whoever would like I would be happy to backup their ECU ROM's for them and keep them for them.
We can also do some logging at the meet.
Please respond in this thead if you plan on attending.
See you there.
