Dan- Yeah the knee is fine, i have been pushing myself to recover fast. After driving my fathers envoy for a few weeks i think that was enough motiviation to get me up and moving. Wow do american SUV's suck ***.

Eric- hahaha when i was in vegas in aug i had a serious gambling problem. I don't think you ever saw anyone spend so much money on the 5 cent slots. However with my last bet on the roulette table of 100 and winning 200 back made me very happy. Next time i go i'm gonna sit at the roulette table all night.

As for price, you got a PM coming your way.

I don't care who your contact was at Dynapak, I called them about buying a dyno when I was shopping. They were by far the most arrogant dyno company I spoke with. In my opinion you need your head examined to buy a dyno that you have to remove 4 tires and wheels from a car to put on it, the labor to do that alone is retarded. When they quoted me a price of $120,000 for the dyno I told them I could buy an AWD MD for about $75,000, and he said, "Well you are getting half the dyno we build." I asked is his came with a servant to change tires and wheels so I could finally get around to tuning. Anyway, I didn't like the guy I spoke with, the price or the idea of taking off the tires and wheels, which when all is said and done is an important part to have on a car you are tuning. You do, afterall have to spin those 4 tires and wheels when you are driving.

On to what he said to you. Let me just ask you this. If you dyno on a Dynapak and then go to an AWD Dynojet would you agree that the numbers are very similar? I say, YES, as I have had NUMEROUS customers who dyno'd on both, made numbers that were almost identical and then came to our shop and complained our dyno reads low. So, do you feel numbers from a Dynojet are comparable to what your Dynapak prints out?

I think everyone is getting to caught up in the numbers game here. I don't care what the car makes on the dyno, as long as it leaves with more than it did on the first pull while doing it safely and more realiably. The most important factor of a dyno is consistency and reapeatability, somthing I've seen the dynapack do very well (and the MD too!).

Any number on a dyno is relative and shouldn't be compared to another dyno/day/car etc.

There are advantages and disadvantages to every dyno, but as long as it allows you to tune a car under all loads and address every load cell, does there really need to be an argument over which one is better?

Differnt strokes for different folks?

That applies to dynos my friends. Its just like owning a car. Whatever car you own, in comparison to another car will always be superior.

I am excited for this meet guys, it will be great. Also, who is actually going to stay with dave and i at D&B and have some brewhas and good laughs?

My question wasn't answered, it's O.K. Maybe if you get time YOU can get back to me Chris or for those of you reading this that have been on a Dynapak and AWD Dynojet with the car set up the same you can chime in.

ANYWAYS. For those of you going to NOPI this weekend or that aren't busy on Friday. We are having an open house, dyno day and GARAGE SALE here on Friday. 9-6pm. Selling off a bunch of used and new parts. I want to drop some of our old inventory before winter. It's a good chance at picking up some good deals. Some of the stuff we are going to sell for pennies on the dollar. We have some misc. Magnacore wires for NT DSM's, Neons, Avengers etc. Also have some Power Slot rotors, mostly rears for misc 2g's, 1g's etc. Also have some AGX struts. Camber kits for 1g and 2g's.

We have an old train depot full of DSM/EVO used parts. Interior, exterior etc, tires, wheels, Galant VR4 wheels/tires.

Bring cash, bring a credit card. I want to get truck loads of stuff out of here. Bends, mufflers etc.

Take care guys,

Dave,

Chances of a discount on bottom end and stage 3 heads haha?? I talked to jarod a few times i think once i go that route i'll def give you a shot. Especially after the good words shep had about you while he worked on my car.

Whats been going on with your 900whp evo? Seems to have been on the downlow, anything new going on with it? I am sure these locals would love to hear if there is. And even see it at an evo meet

David,

I would agree, from my limited experiance, that those numbers are pretty close to the same. They are calculated in different ways, so that might lead one to beleive that there is a lot of power lost simply between the hubs and the ground.

I do have to agree with Nate here though. If you hop on the dyno, and make more power between the first pull, and the last, then it was a successful day of tuning.

Thanks,

Chris

Well Dan, i could not agree not agree with you more.

However i think a big reason why some are not able to go out to the drags is for 1 big reason. For some of us, this is our primary car. So if anything happens to go wrong, some would be out of a car. Or atleast thats why i have yet to run it at the 1/4. However i have been to autox's and road courses several times.

Also dan, watch out i'll be coming for you soon. After i do the little suprise, you'll def see me next to you buddy! hahaha

BTW how is the car?

Steve
