Jeff im trying to talk my gf into a new lancer GTS for the price vs. what you get its quite a deal. I think were going to look at one this weekend....I saw one on rt. 79 yesterday morning and it looks good

If only the evo x still had the 4G63 then I could be more excited about it.......guess I will see how this new motor will work, I just cant see it having the potential the 4G63 has from the specs i have read (open deck - aluminum block, honda anyone?) but I have been wrong before and man enough to admit it

Yeah I will let you know, it would be some time before she is ready to buy a car but that just gives me more time to keep that bug in her ear (she likes the G35 sedan).

I believe they have loaner helmets now. Or im sure you can borrow one of ours if you need too. It should be fun. I just got back from a test drive with all the new parts on the car and all i can say is WOW! . I highly recommend the Works DFV coilovers if anyone is looking for some suspension. I can't believe how good the car feels. They are amazinglly comfortable on the street. they really don't feel much different then the stock suspension. maybe even a nicer ride somewhat! And holy cow does the car handle better. Im actually still shakin my head thinkin about the capabilities of the car now. That topped with the cams in,and boy the thing is a monster. Im not sure how you guys with alot more power do it.

Did they run the auto X at North Park today? I figured it was cancelled due to rain...but I don't see anything on their website saying it was cancelled?

 

I was looking at http://www.swracecars.com/app_listing.asp#imports for cages. As for an install, any reputable body shop should be willing to install a cage.

i just got back actually. it was a hell of a fun day. i had close to 0 traction my first couple runs because my tire pressure was WAY too high for the conditions, but once i let the air down some i was going alright.

 

hey, does anybody want an aluminum greddy radiator shroud?

it was on my blue evo when i wrecked it, it doesn't look damaged at all, but i can't say for sure if it will fit perfectly.

at any rate, i got a new carbon fiber one not too long, so if anyone wants my greddy one just let me know. i don't want any money for it, i just want it out of my garage.

although i will accept a beer in trade

How do you like the EVO9 compared to the 8?

 

honestly i like the powerplant alot more, but i am not crazy about the billsteins or the 6 speed. i am still getting used to the suspension though, so maybe my opinion will change.
