I have to agree. I've been road racing my evo for year now and brakes make a huge difference. Aftermarket pads, fresh fluids, slotted rotors and braided lines if possible will definitely increase performance. If you can afford the full 2 piece rotor brake system, thats the ideal way to go.

Just from experience, I thought I could get one more race out of a set of pads and wore my pads all the way to the metal. Gouged and warped two rotors and had to sit out the rest of the day. $850 later, I'm back on the track.... Learn from my mistake

Last year I competed with two other guys in the Redline Time Attack Series. We also hit up a few track days at Grattan Raceway, Waterford hills, VIR (GT Live Tour) and Beaver Run. I live up in Beaver Falls which is north of the city. We are competeing in the NASA Time Trial Series this year as a team and hope to get sponsorship from tirerack. If your interested, check out the website http://www.nasa-tt.com/ and let me know. We should be traveling to Michigan, Ohio, NY, PA, WV and Georgia this year to compete.

that sounds like fun spoon! What car were you driving at the time attack? I was there watchin that at BR. As for competing i will have to wait till after this hillclimb season to get a SCCA TT license. I'm almost positive i'll need that to compete in NASA TT's. I might think about the redline series. maybe at summit. I'd love any advice on car prep, especially how to mount my new sparco evo seat. which im not sure how anybody really fits in these things. LOL

Unfortunately I didn't get to race at BR. If you saw a 06 civic si and a yellow s2k, those were my boys that I race with. As for the TT license, we're going for ours early this spring as to not miss any events. The redline series is fun due to the face that you need no license. The big dogs like Buscher, AMS, the DTM guys and possibly some big names usually come out as well. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to help.. Hope to see you on the track..

the new forum doesn't seem all that lively either.

guess everyone is just hunkering down and waiting out winter.

Justin if you're bored, let me know what you think of this sub enclosure.

I think i might be getting an enclosure like those that are at the right and left side of the wheel wells. But only 1 for my type R. Thoughts?
