So maybe for some of you from the other side of town can make those allitle easier.
Yep. I will be there. Now that I know they run regardless of weather. I plan on hitting PRP on Saturday, and then autox on Sunday morning. I've got my weekend planned

i think that is the FTD evo there jeremy. if i am not mistaken, the driver rubs the engine down with cheetah blood before each heat to make it that fast

that's what i did last year. it was also nice because i got a real good idea of what was going on so i wasn't nearly as nervous about doing it for the first time (although there is nothing to be nervous about everyone there is real laid back, and it is a great time).

so i would love to see you guys come on up. i will be more than happy to take you for a ride along at the end of the day. next one is this sunday april 22nd. then the following weekend they have a drivers school on saturday may 5th, and the regular autocross sunday may 6th. i think i am going to try to attend both if possible.

Hey guys I'm seriously looking into some auto-x. I'm really into the road course
track days but with the new layout it's 165 bucks for 1hr and 20min of on track
time for group 1 and 2 students. It's not horrible but I can only afford about 2
a year so auto-x might be nice. I will have to come out and watch one of these
times to see what the hub bub is......bub.

Hey guys, i hate to get off track in this thread. I am sure everyone is aware of everything that is going on down at VT. Let's all send our thoughts and prayers to everyone down on that campus who has been injured and or killed, and to their families as well.

yes mikeo1gsr, you should come out and race. your car should be set up nice for this also. Did you ever get your coilovers on? It is alot cheaper then track days thats for sure. Altho, you only really drive your car for a few minutes in auto-x. Its a fun way to spend the day tho. With car people who love to race.

Yes thoughts and prayers to all who are affected bye the shootings!

Yes I got the KW V3's on and wow what a difference, also installed the
17x9.5's with my 255 RE050's. I haven't driven it "all" that much cause I
need to get it aligned and would like to get it corner weighted. Any suggestions?
I still need to install the rear sway and put on the new brake pads and fluid
and I should be ready to roll. Thinking about auto-x more because the MR is
prone to 4th gear failure at high temps the road course produces but 1-3 are
thicker so I should be fine with the MR in auto-x.

God bless all those affected by the shooting at VT.

Well the alignment really depends on how percise your going for. I went with a standard alignment shop. I just took them in the specs i wanted and they did it. I can't say that i really trust that its perfect but hey. Now for corner weighting. I havn't gotten that done yet. Im sorta waiting cause a few people at auto-x have scales and kno what there doing. I'll let you kno if we can get a day set out to do a few cars.

Spotted Black EVO IX

Hey...not sure if you are on this board, spotted a black EVO IX going towards PA Turnpike exit in Monroeville traveling on the Parkway. It was around 3:30 PM today. Pretty big turbo back exhaust as I saw you pass....

Yep that was me...couldn't figure out who you were! I must not have met you because I only knew of SteelCity with a red one. At first I thought it was him so that's why I played a little catch up. Honked when I went by

I don't think I have met you before either. But

I used to have a 2004 Silver EVO 8, I just picked up the IX in November 2006. I am on my last week of working out in Churchill....so I won't be dealing with the Parkway anymore..

How big is that Turbo back exhaust? It looks like a 5 inch pipe...

Well I'm trying to get ahold of Jim Locke, not sure if your familiar with him but he
sometimes talks during class time at the beaverun track days. He has the lap
record there and suppose to be a awesome mechanic to boot. He has a corner
weighting system, I called to see how much for an alignment and corner weight
for single or group but no call back thus far. Keep in touch, I'll probaly have to go
local for an alignment atleast, those RE050's have a 140 tread wear and I'm not
sure how bad my camber or my toe is out of wack if at all. What kind of camber
specs did you go with? I was thinking -2 front -1 rear.

Well really depends how much street driving you'll do. I have mine at -3 front and -1.5 rear. Yes i've heard Jim talk at the track days. He does really kno what he's doing. If your willing to travel. I actaully think Buschur has all the stuff to do laser allignments and corner wieghtin. If not a place called C&G performance. Can do it also.

On another topic. Im heading to Summit point raceway the last weekend of May if anyone is interested in heading down. I'll be staying Fri and Sat night. There is a TT going on that weekend that im entering. I'm sure i'll have some room in the hotel if anyone needs to crash there. Mondo? I could use some pit support. just in case.

Dam pens game last night. We played well and still couldn't get a bounce our way.

Jim is my next door neighbor and my mechanic...I go to him for everything, and also recommend him to everyone. Some people I have to tell time and time again but they don't listen, which is fine - their choice. But he absolutely knows his **** and I don't go to anyone else. The only problem is he is so good that you really need to schedule ahead of time because he is very in-demand. I know recently he was unavailable for about a week because a bunch of guys and their "supercars" contracted him to be where they were racing just in case they needed him.

I just had mine aligned there. 4 wheel alignment was $124, and I have spoken to him before about corner weighting - $75. The absolute best time to catch him and actually get to talk to him at length is between 8-8:30 am.
