Way to go Jerdeitzel!

Good thing there is plenty of room for two car seats in the EVO.

Extra safe with the cage too.

Congrats Jeremy that's awesome! Yeah I can see the sleep thing being a thing
of the past, but it will be worth it as I'm sure you already know. Can't wait to
get the recaro baby seat for the evo...lol

Well, ive had the car for a week and i think i want to get some stuff checked out. Its probably normal but i want to make sure that if there is anything wrong, i get it covered under warranty b4 i blow it away with mods . So, where would the best place be to take this car to get it checked out? I was told that sendell in greensburg is horrible and not to ever take it there. Baierl was recommended cuz they have a tech that specializes in evos? Baierl isnt open on saturdays tho and they close at 5 during the week. Id never make it there in time. How about Biondi in Monroeville on 286 or South Park Mitsu.?

Mike at Bariel knows his stuff about EVO's. Just take the time and go to him first.

For Sale

Hey locals I am considering sellin my APR front splitter . It has been off the car now for a year and I really dont think I am going to use it since it is kinda counter productive for my drag racing addiction.

If anyone is interested hit me up we can discuss willing to negotiate

hey, welcome to the community.

i would stay away from south park and biondi for service.

biondi was downright rude to me the last time i went in there for service with my 05 evo. i was having a knocking sound from the front of the suspension (which turned out to be spring binding due to an improperly lubed strut mount bearing), and they told that my rear sway bar was knocking against my subframe and making the noise travel up front?

south park was decent to me, but they were never able to track down the problem, i had my car in there almost a dozen times. this is still the spring binding mind you.

now mike at baierl is a good guy and knows his ****. i would reccomend figuring out a way to get the car out to him so he can look at it. he has worked on several of the people's cars in this thread, including mine, and we have all been pleased with the results.

just out of curiosity, what do you want to have checked out? is it doing something in particular, or are you just making sure for peace of mind?

alot of the local owners here are very knowledgable, and may be able to help you out. except steelcity, he's never even modified his evo from stock. what a shame.

Its probably just for piece of mind. 2 drivetrain issues. I get a little bit of whine coming either from the tranny or tcase. I searched for the death whine, found a vid of it, and mine definately doesnt sound like that, or as loud. Maybe the fuel pump is loud? The last issue is that when im shifting at lower rpms, say under 3200, when i let the clutch out and the flywheel engages there is a soft audible klunk that i can hear. I can feel it a little bit in the floor. Higher rpm shifts are fine, nothing out of the ordinary. Car is an 06 MR with 4000 miles on it. And i need to get it aligned.

A little whine is normal, mitsu's have very noisey drivetrains.....If its just a slight whine its absolutly normal. Also you will get a clunk every now and again when shifting at lower rpms, this happens to me from time to time when im driving easy and trying to be smooth with the clucth.

I would say everything you described is typical evo......but if you want the peace of mind then have it looked at but unless its "death whine" sound they will tell you its fine

the clunk and whine are both awd drivetrain related.

awd makes more noise, the whine. you'll get used to it.

the clunk, you need to time your feet a little better to get rid of it. start giving it more gas before you let the clutch out and the clunk goes away.
