How about the preliminary reviews of the X? I read my Car and Driver and Road and Track and the verdict seems to be what most of us thought. In stock form at least. The pros are saying that the IX just felt faster. The X handles better supposedly, but it still put up slower slolam times than the IX. Disappointing 0-60's. C&D says under 5 and R&T says 5.2. 1/4 times were like high 13's at a measly 100 mph. Unless this motor is hardcore, I'd say we have another Eclipse case. If there's any IX's left, they'll be going like hotcakes.

 

The EVO 8 & 9 had one competitor. The Subaru WRX STI. Any serious buyer was going to get one or the other.

The new EVO X is going head to head with some really awesome cars with a 295bhp turbo four cylinder. SAWC better be pretty amazing.

well guys, the last few events of the season are coming up. SCR has an autocross at Consol Energy Park (formerly Falconi Field), in washington PA next sunday. i haven't decided if i am going yet, but most likely i will end up down there.
