local Pittsburgh Meet
well, i got to test drive a new electric blue gts lancer tonight.
i was actually pretty impressed. the car feel stiff and planted to the road. the handling is nice and direct, and surprisingly neutral. the clutch was way lighter than i like, and i am used to, but gave good feedback and was easy to feel.
the brakes were nice and tight and felt solid. stopping was very fast, much faster than i expected.
the power felt a little lacking, but obviously i am used to twice as many horses. it wasn't bad though, had some pep to it.
the shifter was smooth, but could have benifitted from some harder shifting bushings under the hood.
this particular lancer had the sun, sound, and leather package. the seats and interior was pretty damn nice. gauges and stereo looked nice, and were easy to see and use. the rockfort fausgate system pretty nice, even though i didn't have a chance to test it out like i would liked.
overall though i am was impressed with the car. for 22k, you really get alot. i'm pretty excited now about what the ralliart and the x will be like. hopefully i can swing a test drive on each of those when they come out.

it would be nice if the ralliart lancer would be a awd turbo edition to compete with the std. wrx.......doubtful im sure.
I saw a White IX on babcock blvd. lastnight, seems to be more and more new evos popping up now....Plus I have seen more evos near my apt. where I live now than I ever did living in Bellevue

it is being released around the same time as the new evo, so we will see, but i have some high hopes for it.

i am surprised we are only 24th on that list.
actually i talked to my buddy that works at baierl, and he said that is exactley what the ralliart is going to be. probably priced around 24kish, turbo, awd, and meant to best the rex.

I didn't bother checking the last 100 pages I missed, but has anyone other than mikeevo gotten their calipers replaced under warranty? Mine are absolutely disgusting. Biondi shot it down right away, but after some complaining they said they'd see what the district manager would say. Knowing that he's said "yes" a few times are Baierl, I'm hoping I'll be good to go. I know it's a $7,000 repair or something like that, but they should cover their $hitty parts. Just curious if anyone else around here tried.
I almost did....When I had my 04 I took it to Bariel and they said no problem and ordered the new calipers. I ended up trading it in on a IX before the calipers came in so I didnt have them installed.
I asked if i could still have them and they said no...but hey it was worth a shot?

So what type of racing is everyone planning this weekend? PRP TnT on Friday? North Park Auto X on Sunday? Looks like the rain might be a factor...but North Park will go rain or shine. Might be fun to slide around in the rain
