how many miles do u have on them before they wear out? i only got 7k out of the advans and i rotated them too...i autocrossed a month ago but they were already beat up before then...if they hold up a lot longer and are decent in the summer too then it sounds like a good tire to me

thanks, Jason

what did the wear on the advans look like? was it all even, concentrated around the edges, or other?

i got 8k out of mine this summer, but that was with like 14 autocrosses, 2 time trials, and 1 time at flashlight drags, plus my normal spirited daily driving.

I had 20,000 miles on my 2004 Hanooks. My 2006 EVO, I switch them. Hanook's for the winter, OEM Advans for the summer. I only have 11,000 miles on the 2006 EVO at the moment...

I've been running Pirelli P-Zero Nero all seasons all year round. For the kind of driving I do, they're great. They're good in the snow and the grip isn't too bad either for an all season. I think I got about 22,000 miles out of the first set.

I'd second the vote for these. I know of a couple of WRX's that run them locally and they are happy with them.

what kind of tire pressures do you urn for daily driving? if the pressure is too low the tires will cup and eat the outer edges like crazy. the stock pressure of 32 front, 29 rear is way too low in my opinion and can cause wear like you described.

i like to run mine at 36 front, 32 rear, and rotate the tires front to back every oil change, or even more often if i am feeling up to it.

That tire seems comparable to the P Zero's. When I was shopping for tires the first time, I honestly just searched every thread on here and came up with the Pirelli's. I gave them a try. I think I may have heard some decent things about the Bstones too.

it defintely helps. i destroyed my first set of advans on my blue evo in about 6k miles from the pressure being too low. the fronts cupped horribly.

i like how it feels with a little more pressure too. a bit more steering response.

Tire wear

On the evos the tire pressure is a little issue, the biggest issue is the alignment....A brand new evo usually is out of alignment.......On a soft tire like the advan just a small misalignment will chew all of the tires off.... One wheel being out of alignment will push the whole car/causing cupping...
