good ideas. i would scratch the whole black wing thought. On top of that, run the lip and maybe some IX tails. car will look ultra sexy with black/red combo... you are not the only black/red one in town though.. and the other one is a beast

IX tails...another good idea. And I will be able to get those for free. We bought a GG IX yesterday and it comes today with the red one...I'll just have to swap the tails

Haha, yeah, Sears is a horrible company. I don't know how I worked as a salesperson there for 3 years. I'll have my degree in a couple of weeks and then i'm done with retail forever!

Yeah, I love that little pavement patch. I used to park my right near there when I worked at Sears. I forgot about that...

I wasnt too impressed with the grip from my Falken 912's in the snow. They pretty much suck. They are great for rain and offer lots of grip on dry tarmac; maybe just a slight amount of snow, but the car was not controllable at all when snow drifting.

Hey, what size spacers do you need to fit those guys? I've heard 5 to 8mm. Seriously considering picking up a set in the spring, but don't want to get them if I need a giant spacer or fender rolling. Also, what size tire are you going to run?

GNV Motorsports...i think you should definitly come to the meet. I got my finals monday and tuesday as well but i think a few hours can be put aside for a little evo gathering. It can be an enjoyable break from studying. Do you go to Pitt by any chance?

 

Yeah it is looking like i will be able to make it, but we'll see. I mean usually my finals have always been at the end of the finals week. But go figure, this year 3/6 are on Monday and Tuesday.

As for USC, i am looking into their Masters in Business Management, or the M. Acc (Masters of Accounting)... Oh well, that is all up in the air. Depends on how well i do on the GMATs.

The G8 is definitely very nice, however after the other days weather i have had 2nd thoughts lol. I can't imagine 400ish HP and RWD being much fun in those conditions.

im new to this and wanted to look where a meet might be. however my evo is in the shop with a destroyed 2nd gear. Any idea how long it will be before another meet? where are these meets usually located? Any ever in wexford? Anyone ever go to the car show on fridays at the church in wexford?

 

What's up man, we usually meet down at the waterfront as it seems to be the middle point for everyone.

Steve, that G8 does look pretty cool. I like American cars, don't get me wrong, but just like you said, it's not very practical to have a RWD monster in the snow. And America didn't make anything that compared to the Evo when I was looking.

I was actually considering going with an all black wing. I still might. It should go well with my heads and tails, lip and vortex generator. I kind of wanted bronze wheels though. Too many decisions and no money... Oh well, at least I finally bought a clutch. Got a great deal too! Thanks Dave!

 

Yeah i agree, when i bought my car (03) the market was very limited at the 30k range. However GM is really turning out some sweet cars.

As for the wing, definitely do it. You still have that lip on correct? If so, i think the cf lip and the cf wing on silver just look great.

Good call on the 245 width...shouldnt need to worry about fender rubbing with that setup. I can't wait to see it on your car on saturday. I was looking at the 18x9.5, but you need an 8mm spacer apparently.

 

i was up at starlight a couple of times this past summer.

it's cool, but gets a little boring because it seems to be mostly the same group of muscle cars that show up every week.

feel free to come on down with or without the evo though. it will be a good time either way.

as far as another meet, not sure really? most likely not until the weather gets a bit warmer, but hell, i am down to meet whenever.

like TheGame said, we usually meet down the waterfront because it seems to be the middle ground for most people and obviously has a ton of unused parking lot space. it doesn't hurt that it is where Dave and Busters is either.
