Tires?`

So...looks promising I will have the BBS wheels sold. I need to pick tires.

Choices are:

Nitto NT-01
Bridgestone RE-01R
Falken Azenis RT615's

Daily drivers for the summer only.

Drag racing mainly, but track time at North Park a few times.

Anyone have any thoughts? experiences?

i really liked my BFG's they were like $78.00 per tire from tires .com and got there free shipped in like 3 days.

I also ran sneaked out 1.65 60's with them... and they still have tread on em!

Jim,

Regardless of what you get hold onto your wallet. I just ordered tires(Re-01r's) yesterday and the prices had jumped not once but twice in the previous two weeks. From 180/corner to 200 at tirerack. Still the best price.

i am planning on going with the bstones when i replace my street tires in a couple months.

i've heard nothing but good things about them from people running them, and like dave said, they're the cheapest going so far.

Thanks, I might know him if I saw him. I've been here for 8 years and need a change so I'm coming back to the hometown. And no, I'm not sure why I am leaving.

Wow, that's crazy. I'm so glad I got mine when I did. I had Sears price match me for tire rack plus my employee discount, plus a little extra bonus. I'm glad I didn't wait.

And another thing, the Dunlop's aren't even on tire racks website anymore in stock sizes. So I must be right about them not making any until May. For those of you who can wait for tires, I would try out the Dunlop Z1's. Cheaper, last longer, and many claim better times on them than the RE01's.

I had those same wheels on my Cavalier Z24 years ago. They were nice wheels. IMO they still look sharp. As far as refinishing them, be sure you find a place that does rubberized coatings. The RS-5's had a rubberized paint coating on them that made them durable. Nice wheels - good purchase

Canexican - call me, i have the free tires

I just got a set of the RE-01R's...absolutely beautiful tire (if that's possible ) Can't wait to run them on the street - look like they should have some great grip.
