Okay.

It took you two weeks to install a clutch?

AND you put a stock clutch back in? What you think your warranty is intact with that fancy bird caller of a BOV?

AND you couldn't finish the damn job without help from a GIRL.

Does that sum it up?

On a more serious note good work doing it yourself. I would never attempt that job.

If you're really in a pinch I think I have a regular 8 BOV you can have.

What kind of BOV is the bird caller? I heard it when you brought your car down to the waterfront that one time.

While a large percentage of us don't have the funds or capabilities to do these extravagant builds we have to make do with what we have and learn how to go as fast as we can with what we've got....so this brought on some testing that I decided to do on my car.

I have been running a cone filter for about a year now and it has seemed to work ok, cool noises mostly. Since I tune my own car I have been combating knocking issues and inconsistant tunes for a long time. The car didn't like timing at all - every time i tried to add 1-2 degrees it would go apesh*t on me

So I decided maybe the cone is hurting more than helping? So I said f-it im going to try going back to the stock intake and see what happens? So I installed it then took the car out and re-tuned it - amazingly I was able to add 2-3 degrees of timing in different areas of the map that hated me before and the car didn't knock, it was loving it. I also use datalog lab to guesstimate rough hp/tq. Since i log and tune in the same area every time. Picked up about 15whp over my previous baseline with the cone filter. I dialed in the afr at 11.8-12.0 across the board and the car feels 10x better - its almost like a new car and feels much more consistent.

So thats my story.....thought I would add something different than just b*tching

Now I need to get a certain someone to run with me and see how I fair...

Yes, it was pulled out of a IX in anticipation of getting tuned and turbo upgrade with cams etc etc. So before the car was even modded at its young life it was found to be easier to replace it before it gets destroyed or worth nothing
