Make sure you have a flare nut wrench or you will most likely strip either the brake line nuts or the bleeders.

guys, i have some bad new about the drive to the summit we have planned for saturday.

right now weather.com is telling me some grim things.

http://www.weather.com/weather/weeke...nav_undeclared

basically we're looking at a 70% chance of thunderstorms at the moment.

i will keep an eye on it, maybe we will get lucky, but it's not looking promising.

we may have to go with the rain date. i am going to hold off on making the call until tomorrow around dinner time just in case.

i will let you all know what's going on.

Are we all planning on driving out to BeaveRun on Sunday or are we just going up separately. Didn't know if you wanted to do a little caravan like last time Justin, but i'm going to have to get there EARLY since I'm not registered (don't want to risk not being able to run).

Oh, so apprently I'm a moron. I drove all the way out to Irwin with my co-worker following me and realized I forgot the key for the tuner lugs AFTER I got there. Now I have to get my friend to pick me up from work and drive back out there to drop the key off so the mechanic (Tim) can do the job tomorrow morning. Then I have to get my girlfriend to go out there with me tomorrow afternoon to pick up the freakin' car - its 45 mins each way. Uggghhh...

At my disposal we have a nice sized tool box and the only thing craftsman that seems to hold up are the wrenches. Every ratchet is junk (don't click anymore) every jack is junk (don't pump up, or release down) and for some reason their air compressors and power tools are just trash too.

I enjoy snap on and mac tools ... sunex makes some nice power tool equipment.

Craftsman tools have never let me down yet. I have two digi-torque wrenches (3/8 and 1/2 '') and just about everything they make except for a 3/4'' ratchet. Lifetime warranty on all hand tools. In my opinion you really can't beat that. Break one and go to sears and exchange it for a new one. As for their ratchets, I've never broken a ratchet but I used to help rebuild them. 90% of the failures I saw from ratchets were from lack of lube or too much rust. I never once saw a gear broken. The main problem goes back to binding and rusting of the ball and spring. Of course there are about 10 different designs. The latest is by far the best. Torque wrenches can be off sometime, but the differences are usually not greater than 10 ft-lbs. And when you're torquing down something like a flywheel bolt, 100 ft-lbs is the general number, give or take another 10 f-lbs. Plenty of room for error. It would have to be waaay off to cause major problems.
