If you have just popped up lately in the evo world you probably have not seen me. my car is currently not running, but i have some family members that live on old trail road in norwin.
the way i know that leads to herminie is if you follow clay pike for a long time. you live somewhere off that road, or is it some other area i dont know of?? and i have heard of another silver evo from around here, i was told it had a carbon fiber hood. it might have just been someone driving thru

i found a good deal on a silver VIII wing with no clear coat peeling. I was thinking about buying it and putting it on mine and then getting mine to my neigbor who has a body shop to fix.... and then possibly passing the fixed one along to whoever is interested in getting in and splitting the cost of the whole deal...this way there is an extra one going to whoever needs it.....let me know..

okay so i filled up my tank last night and figured out my gas mileage, it came out to be 14.6mpg! its always been this low and i think its not right. i dont drive it all that much and if its a really short trip i try not to use boost. there is one thing that i know threw it down a bit, last week me and my friend went for a drive down this really sick county road. I knew i was gonna have fun so i measure how many miles i drove. i went 30 miles exactly, and used boost there.

So for my daily driving i dont really consider myself chugging gas. for anyone that read my ecu at the meet this weekend, think thats why cuz of how frigging rich it was

too me the 8 bumper looks like a baby shark opening its mouth. the 9 is the one with the more squarish IC opening and the two holes in it

pre tune after mods i think i was worse than that... i was averaging under 10mpg if i recall. then tune and it got all better.

damn, see i want that. if you use boost and get that... man. i tried hard this last time to stay out of boost cuz i wanted to get some good numbers of what i can get out of it and thats what i get. although i had that one time but i was short.

and... my mileage is divided by 17.5 gallons, because i put 6gal. into it sometime last week. meaning that my granny driving should have almost counter acted my little run. and yeah i the mileage on the odometer is for all 17.5 gallons

so is a new tune the answer? also cuz it sucks

the easiest way to tell visually is the front end...the front bumpers and grilles are different and the IX headlights look like theyre smoked compared to the chrome look on the VIII

heres the VIII front end...

heres the IX front end...

Evo X 3 bar map sensor - my girlfriend ordered it and had it delivered to my work and what a surprise it was, have to say she is pretty awesome . Now I can say hello to ecu / psi based boost control and logging boost!

Tuning just got a little more interesting for me......now I need more money for gas

Liz doesnt do this, she just installs them for me lol

You might not be calculating it right? The evo has a 14 gallon tank and I have run it with the light on for 2 days and the most I ever filled up with was like 13.2 gallons.

Best bet is to fill the tank full - then drive till it and the next time you put fuel in it fill it all the way up again and divide the number of miles you drove by the amount you filled up the tank with.

There is some tricks you can do to keep it in closed loop while still going into boost some which helps with fuel mileage ( I do this and it def. does help)....the tune for the most part is for wot and if your dumping fuel from being over rich then yes you will burn more than me with my 12.0 afr but wouldn't effect you staying out of boost.

Also things like boost leaks, intakes (depending how bad the screw the maf sensor up), etc can all contribute to poor fuel mileage as well

Well that could be one of your problems, gas tank size is only 14 gallons!
