Eric and Denny - are you guys gonna be running C16? I saw a video comparing a few VP fuels. Q16, C16, and VP Import. Surprisingly, it looks like Q16 is the best bang for the buck. VP Import has a higher octane, but it costs much more than C16 and doesn't really perform much better than Q16. Overall, the C16 performed the worst. Q16 costs about the same as C16.

Ahhh, I was trying to figure out the significance of this picture.

On the suggestion note, I really don't like the idea of passing on Wilson circuit. The thought of trying to go around Dave is quite scary...vice versa is even scarier.

Not sure about denny, but my main concern is E85... I dont plan on running meth, but would hope that E85 for a "most of the time" daily driver fuel will be a nice cheap alternative to race fuel. I will however be running the Q16. I can get it for a decent deal, and it smells SOoOoO good VP is like $24 per gallon or something silly like that. no thanks lol. Depending on what i make on Q16 will determine my next move.

Can you forward me that information please, it would be interesting to see the real differences!

My car is more of a DD, so I'll be running pump. I did buy the 5 gallons of VP 109 from Jim, so I may see what it will do on that, but on a daily basis anything past that is insanity.

If it doesn't do enough for me daily on pump, I would probably look to a bigger turbo or meth again before I look to E85 or any of the insanely priced fuels.

the real reason i want e85 is so i can stomp on the cobras at the mile by just driving over to sheetz and pumping race gas in my car for only $3.41 per gallon or something like that haha but on a side note. almost all my mpg will sadly be from 93 octane.

Denny, whens the turbo kit coming in?

I'm typing slow - was at the eye Dr. and my eyes are dilated so I'm doing the old "hunt and peck" on the keyboard. It's funny because your "elder" commebts are appropriate today - I need to get glasses for when I'm on the computer

Anyway...I just had an email conversation with my vendor yesterday and he was going to call FP and find out what the **** is going on because it's been ordered for 2 f'ing months now. He has everything else sitting there - including other **** that came from FP like the race manifold and O2 housing! It's becoming a joke.

On the other hand, it's giving me time to find stuff that needs done in the bay that, if I had the turbo, I would have needed to pull ot off already.

Considering my initial goal was to have this done by next April, I think I'm doing OK with my schedule though, so overall I can't be too upset I guess.

Fuel prices are gay. Thats why I have an 87 octane tune in the evo that I run. Fill up on 87 octane, flip the switch to switch maps and do a nice highway trip.

My DSM doesen't even see expensive racing fuels. I run the generic track fuel. Even if I did hurt a motor its a $200 repair so who gives a f3ck. E85 is neat stuff but I can't get it easilly.

hey does anyone know why an Evo wouldnt run correct on a dyno? would it be the transfer case??

I was told by a shop that tried to dyno my car that they had to street tune it because it wouldnt run correctly on the dyno...soo im just wondering if its bad news for the future like getting a new TC or whatever....

Can you be more specific as to what they mean by not running correct?

Was it an AWD dyno?

If not then I'm guessing that might be a large part of the issue.

^^ That certainly couldn't end well...
