Ian,

As much as I am sure you are enjoying your free summit racing hat you need to get that **** out of your diff and Transfer case right now.

The only fluid that goes in there is Diaqueen LSD oil. It's the OEM oil and the only stuff that actually works.

Diaqueen LSD does not come with a free hat but it will keep you out of some hefty repair bills.

Pennzoil is to thin! You could hit up a gm dealership and pickup rebadged castrol
syntorq lt which is a full synthetic 75/85 recommended in MR transmissions! The
GM part number is 12346190 and you will need the part number or they will be
clueless trust me!!! Only thing is, it's expensive as f*ck like 20 bucks a qt. I use
Motul 75/90 and am pretty happy except for the 1-2 shift when it's cold in the
morning but it's gear lube so what do you expect!

Dave, Dave, Dave, don't be so paranoid! I use BG 1 in the tranny and royal purple in both the tansfer case and rear. It works just fine. You are all crazy if you think it really matters. Sure it may feel different in the tranny but thats about it. I have been around the autoparts business along time and you are all being fed a bunch of **** from people. Believe who you want!

Amen as long as it's the proper weight and synthetic I totally agree! I don't
believe Mitsubishi has any secret fairy dust they sprinkel in the Diaqueen that
makes it any better. It does make money disappear out of your wallet though.
It's good fluid don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with using it, but people still
break stuff while using it.

i was so worn out from kennywood on saturday that i was pretty much physically incapable of getting out of bed early enough for the autoX sunday.

i read your post over on racePA, congrats on kicking some *** sunday!

i will most likely be at 2 out of the next 3. i kind of feel bad missing last sunday, but i was beat and had some other things going on. no worries though, my slow *** will be back out there soon enough, chewing up more perfectly good street tires

Yeah good call Mike. Wish I knew about this stuff before I just spent another $100 for the 6-speed Diaqueen fluid...damn price must have gone up since spring.

Here's a place to order it when you don't need it immediately, and they sell it in the correct amount instead of having to buy a f'ing gallon like the Diaqueen...

Yeah no offense Dave but I am gonna side with Jer here... I would think Mitsubishi is only looking for two things, more $ and a way to talk themselves out of a warranty claim.
