In my opinion, this is justified behavior. They are doing their job. Their job is to serve and protect, like someone above said. Now, obviously, there's no place for brutality. I will not defend them for that. But that's >1% of all police officers.

For those who think ticketing is just a fundraiser... Imagine no cops on the highways. How long would you survive?

Sorry buddy if my statements came as kinda abrupt. It was just my opinion that countered your's, that's all.

As for imagining no cops, that would be a dream come true huh !!! just kidding. I understand the importance of a police force in a society. We need them to protect us from everyone including ourselves. But when 90% of their time on patrol is spent giving speeding tickets that generates revenues atop the state income taxes we pay, I find it hardly justifies their time spent.

Anyway, there was no pun or objection intended, only venting my opinion on the matter. no hard feelings mate.

Sorry for turning this into a cop-flaming thread. Lets get back to our EVO business.

It's cool man... I'm really not a big fan of the five O. I just understand their position and job. Besides, this thread is dead without some controversy.

Check this out !!

I just got the KYB struts, eibach lowering springs, strut brace and strut mounts for my 01 camry. Planning on doing everything myself. Every bump I drive over causes the vehicle to bounce like a Ghetto car, save the rims . I had to buy the ONLY spring compressor in the north hills area for this project at pep-boys. Damn was it hard to find!! Also got a complete tool-set and jack stands for the project at sears.

Considering this is the first time I will be working on a project this size, any valuable suggestions would be welcome. I plan on doing one wheel at a time. Hoping this experience will "educate" me before I start working on the EVO in the future.

I don't know much about Toyota's, but my friend was a tech for them for a good while. I could call him up if you get stuck. On Evo's, the hardest part of doing springs / coilovers is when you have to loosen the strut bolt in the tower. The one that's under the black cap and filled with grease. You are supposed to have a special Mitsu tool for this. It's kind of difficult to keep the strut from turning while loosening the nut. I helped Steelcity Dan do his springs on his VIII and I forget how we got this loose, but we didn't use the special tool. So I know it can be done with basic open ended or box wrenches. I watched more than helped... But I had the isntructions!

Other than that, just pay attention to the orientation of everything, especially the camber bolts. They have small little arrows (triangles) on the heads. That way everything will go back in the way it came out.

I used redline 75W90 in the diff n t-case and MT90 for the tranny. I have no complaints, but I am sure someone more opinionated on whats better. I have had no problems so no reason to try anything else.

I usually get it from summit, ships in like 2-3 days..

Jer....how did you do?

I had to leave after the first runs, boy do I miss racing around NP. I may just bring the Mustang up again and race it. I'll suck big time..but it will sure beat watching.

Did you end up getting FTD?

I didn't like the beginning part of the course...no easy way to let it rip to start out...
