Had my car on scales today.

Evo IX RS weighs 3,134lbs with a bit over half tank, space tire and jack plus some stuff in the cargo net.

Nice Davey boy.

I would like to get the Evo around 2900lb fighting weight to start. I may actually be closer than I think I am. I know how much I had taken out but I dont know where I was before I started.

America's Football Team

Anyone else notice lately that the Dallas Cowboys have proclaimed themselves "Americas Football Team".

Big to the Cowboys for being marketing ******.

To the Steelers for being the real deal. It's not like the Rooneys are running around calling themselves "The World's football team."

evo all year next year, any cons in doing so from those who drive in the winter?
Any noticeable corrosion of bolts namely suspension ones? Love to hear feedback!
I know the evo would be fun in the winter, but I want to keep this car a long time
and I know what the winters do to cars around here!

Mike,

I drove both the 05 and now the 06 all year around.

With proper snow tires in poor weather there is no better vehicle. Better then the old one ton 4wd pickup in the winter

Regarding rust on the suspension. Having just taken my suspension apart I can tell you that those big *** bolts can and do rust but nothing debilitating. Air tools and a breaker bar broke them loose quickly enough. No drama of seized bolts or so rusted the heads round or any of that nonsense.

The body. A good # of the body panels are aluminum. That's good.
Mitsubishi paint is poor. You will see a few more rock chips then you might otherwise.
