Big to the Cowboys for being marketing ******.

To the Steelers for being the real deal. It's not like the Rooneys are running around calling themselves "The World's football team."
The term "Americas Football Team" was coined by NFL Films in 1979 i believe it was. The kicker was that the president of NFL Films at the time asked Dan Rooney if he could give the label to the Steelers and Rooney replied that the Steelers were not America's Football Team, they were Pittsburgh's football team. So they next went to Jerry Jones and of course he said yes.

Regarding rust on the suspension. Having just taken my suspension apart I can tell you that those big *** bolts can and do rust but nothing debilitating. Air tools and a breaker bar broke them loose quickly enough. No drama of seized bolts or so rusted the heads round or any of that nonsense.

The body. A good # of the body panels are aluminum. That's good.
Mitsubishi paint is poor. You will see a few more rock chips then you might otherwise.
After working on DSM's and now Evo's, I can tell you that DSM's hold up better to winter rust/corrosion than Evos. The DSM's had/have much better paint. It is thicker and it is applied more liberally on parts of the vehicle that you can't see from the outside. The DSM's are also undercoated better. The Evo has better drainage however. Allthough the evo has alumium, the rear is what rusts out on cars. The rear bumper are of the Evo is horrible. It should actually get recalled by mitsu as the bumper will fail of in an accident. I tore the bumper and crash beam off the evo and reundercoated the whole rear end. Mitsu really skimped here. They actually paint the car after bolting the crash beam to the car, so where the crash beam mounts rusts badly straight from the factory. In a couple years 03 evo's will have the rear bumpers falling off because this are of the rear subframe will rust straight off. Also DSM's appear to have thicker gauge sheetmetal in the car. Travis's evo has already been in for rear quarterpannel paint. My friend has an 03 evo that needs rear quarter paint. Travis "repair" job has allready failed and is bubbling again. I suspect that the steel used in the rear quarter is poor, and rusts easily. The only way to repair it is to replace the rear quarter on his car. Even the engine bay of the evo takes a beating. I notice that the radiator support area will rust easily unless you clean it weekly like I end up doing.

So to recap, put a clearbra on the car, rallyarmor mudflaps, and your favorite mud and snow tires and have a blast.

Now the problem is there is no way to fit skis into an evo (logically). Does anybody in here ski or snowboad that uses a roofrack, i know ide probably look like an idiot driving that far with it but hey.
I think a roofrack and mud flaps on the EVO is it's best look. Had I hung onto mine a bit longer I was going to get a roofrack, mud flaps, and possibly do a white camo vinyl wrap

Run a search you'll see what I mean

Autometer wideband A/F ratio gauge
Megan downpipe
Megan Turbo Manifold

i am in the process of getting a LICP. Does the LICP really make that big of difference other than quicker spool up? With the mods i have listed here and a good tune, can anyone estimate what i might end up with HP wise?

No, the LICP does not make that big a difference. When you get a FMIC, do the LICP then.

Provided everything is running right tuned, 300whp is my guess.

You arent from the Natona Heights/Burrell area are you? I moved from that area over a year ago and kept getting calls from friends thinking I was in the area. I guess there aren't too many EB 8's with black wheels running around. Nice color choice too I might add Welcome to the site
