it's still facing right, but the intercooler itself has a nice big dent in it now, looks like someone smacked it with a baseball bat.

 

Geeze, sorry man, I feel you. Mine wasn't as bad as yours when I hit my ditch a month ago. Luckily I only ruined my Varis lip and intercooler, but luckily I got dan's stock intercooler. Definately never run the advans in the snow. I tried once and wasn't risking it again. I have Pirelli PZero nero's on now and I owned the road Wednesday night. Not too bad for ultra high performance all season tires. Cheap too.

 

well went to slowboy again today and dialed the motor back in , put down 335whp & 338lb.ft. vs. 308whp & 317lb.ft., another 27hp over previous cams feel nice!!!!

 

as soon as i get my ride back i am getting new tires. maybe some chains too.

just filed my claim about an hour ago, gonna wait for the adjuster to call me now.

 

Damn Dan, looks like your evo is probably the most powerful around. I can't wait to take her for a spin, haha.

got to drive it a little today though, and it feels really strong. so i don't think there is any mechanical damage. aside from dents and bent fins on my radiator.

ok, just got done with the insurance adjuster. his estimate was $5,724.

i took it down to liotus and winter to get them to preorder parts well i wait for the monkies at the insurance company to call me back to approve the rental.

i think they are gonna have to send the adjustor out one more time, because he didn't put a new radiator on the sheet, and liotus said he is getting me one because he doesn't want anything to go wrong in summer if the radiator is damaged.

so, my car should be starting the fixing process by the end of the week.



can't wait to have her back. and my bridgestone blizzaks are coming in tommorow. so i will be all ready for her.

 

man thats alot of cash thank god for insurance so how much is ur rates goin to go up,oo and with my turbo setup some **** head sent me a half *** custom turbo manifold so im fighting that on ebay and waiting for my new one to arrive then my install will finally start but i think i might wait till feb when my car needs inspected

sucks about your turbo manifold. i hope you get that straightened out. if nothing else, ebay can viscious to a vendor if you file a dispute against him.

 

Let me just inform you guys that Dan's (Steelcityevo8) car is an absolute animal. He let me take her for a spin yesterday and I could not beleive what his 272's, FMIC, Ported $hit, etc. do for his car. It pulls like a mother. I definately want cams now.

 

thats good news! i'll have to go for a ride with him. I will definatly be doing cams myself here in the spring. im thinkin maybe alky also. So dan are you upgrading your turbo soon since you have the new fmic.

Do the 272's effect the idle all that bad on the Evo? I want to do cams but I want to try and keep the car running as close to factory as possible with idle and driveability, I had a turbo crx for 3 years and that thing was not the best daily driver, fully built motor, not a large turbo but had decent lag for the motor but it sure was fun under boost and pulled really hard to 7500 rpms...which is why I am looking at cams for the Evo I read it really helps the car pull hard to redline, which stock it kinda feels like it falls on its face at like 5500 or so : )
