Do the 272's effect the idle all that bad on the Evo? I want to do cams but I want to try and keep the car running as close to factory as possible with idle and driveability, I had a turbo crx for 3 years and that thing was not the best daily driver, fully built motor, not a large turbo but had decent lag for the motor but it sure was fun under boost and pulled really hard to 7500 rpms...which is why I am looking at cams for the Evo I read it really helps the car pull hard to redline, which stock it kinda feels like it falls on its face at like 5500 or so : )
it does idle a little ruff but actually if ur a gear head u will probably like it , so far it never stalled on me or anything and throttle and boost response have both benifited all and all

hey jeremy yeah i do wanna do a gt30r next winter project i think not gonna happen this year i dont think, now i need me an exedy twin plate, oh yeah and i got some 18x8.5" 5zigen rpo1r-c comin in next week , their the gloss black with polished center and lip, i had to dress her up a little

so fare nobody is touchin curt brown and i think puff n pass might have somethin to say about that , plus this other cat named dan from washington pa is droppin an atp gt3071 on his this winter , so maybe out of stock turbos

yeah u r the only turbo oz i know of in the area so i think u got that locked down easy, every other oz i see hooked up just looks pretty but gots no *****, atleast ur approaching it correctly in my opinion

thats a nice turbo too u should be able to make some nice power with that , it is a ball bearing center housing correct? how much power can ur stock bottom end take??

ya thats right bottom ends weak about 250 but i plan on gettin better rods and pistons this summer so ill shoot for 220 for starting and then 300 by summer

curt brown is a long way ahead of me from what i know, i still need bigger injectors, fmic, fuel pump and clutch

yeah but u got a turbo that can easy give u low boost 400whp easy, how did u tune ur utec ? or are u still running a base map ? does it feel strong none the less and how about spool

not tuned yet, till i get the injectors and fuel pump its runnin off the waste gate at 12 psi, if not it hits fuel cut, once the injectors and fuel pump i can go up to 35 psi but will probably run more like 25 - 30...after the fmic and clutch its goin to turbo-xs for a full tune on 94, super blue, and a few other settings
