I actually wouldn't mind a run against Rob.

I've driven his car once or twice and I think my little stock IX could stay within 1.5 car lengths through 4th.

Um when my current EVO was in the hands of Dave P (evolved)...Dan always beat him. Dave admits and Dan as well, that Dave is a slower driver than Dan. I'd like to line up with Dan and see if it's the same story. He has a few more mods but I'd be close? He did smoke my M3 though!

Bryce is not on Meth, no. Eric P told me about the 400 or whatever he put down, but when I talked with him yesterday it was 387 at the wheels on race gas.

I have these dumb things scattered all over and this is the only one I could find from that night. You have to remember this was in May and it was a very cool night. 60s maybe? My car was #040





I'm not gonna lie 2mph about my trap. Best of the night is in my signature....12.4 @ 116. The other lane on this slip was Russell (blacked out evo 8 - wingless)

I really think if I did my normal 1.7 launch and with the right tires that night it would be a low 12 second car. Possibly 11.99 or am I dreaming?

Not callin you a liar. I am just stating the fact that I personally have not seen it thats all.

Either way the mph are good. I dont know what Bryce's car traps , I would like to see a race with Bryce and EvoDan .

 

I believe with 116mph it is possible to drive it into the 11's. But the run will have to be near perfect with real qucik 60's. So the setup has to be working well.

Personall experience with the stocker . Ran 12.2 @ 113mhp so you can see the power out of your car could go 11's (wont be easy)

 

can anybody tell me if they know of any other mitsu cars that have the same key as the evo8?

 

raab its gotta be a cooler october night and perfect 60's...but it can be done...

 

Tune:
The tune I had on there when I sold it to you is very conservative. It's the one I used in the winters since peak boost varies with ambient temps.

Long story short you can extract a good bit more power from that car as it sits if you get a more aggressive re tune. Not to mention the cam gears can be adjusted to get you a tad more. Now if you want to for sure land in the the 11's get the ported mani/IX turbo/02 housing combo. That will net you a lot of power.

I do think you should keep right up with blue dan's car. Gotta remember that when I raced Dan I had a good 150lbs extra in the form of "fat driver mod" over Dans car. That's enough to make up for the nose he consistently beat me by.

I'd like to do both. I'd like to try the drag strip since I've never been in an EVO.

Not to mention if I get one more ticket I'm walking.
