You know, I really don't think a stock intake hurts ya. Well, except for that filter. That stock filter is terrible - a K&N drop in is all you need. I think the retention of it leads to much more consistent numbers for the MAS.

The thing that hurts you the most is that weak tune of yours. Well, unless you have plenty of when tuning, that is...

- but i never mix beer with tuning, that leads to disabled knock sensors and cranked ignition timing which that never ends well.

If we're gonna do 40 rolls we should invite the SRT and mustang guys.

Saturns are junk the saga continues

Wifes Saturn in the shop again.

Security system works great. Even the owner can't start the car.

30,000 original miles and had over $10,000 in warranty work including new rings(still smokes), new electrical system twice and some really expensive suspension pieces replaced.

if you guys do that, you ought to just turn it into a big meet, and then sneak off from there. That way people can at least talk and bs, rather than just get upset and argue on the internet. Although that didn't work out so great with the recent stock turbo vs 35r video hahaha. I think the subaru guys go to quaker steak in robinson every wednesday or something like that. If you guys wanted to I'm sure that they wouldn't get upset if you guys came out and did the same... well, at least not until the cars leave the parking lot anyway

FWIW, I'm not going to crash your guys partay unless you want me there. No hard feelings

edit: they go to QSL in robinson the first wednesday of every month around 6 or 7

Screw that! From a dig! Heck we have launch control!!

We could probably get 30 or so cars and go out to PRP for like 4-5 hours....would be around $75 a person or so I'd say? Not sure..........

Sorry to jump off topic and I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this but I am in a bit of a quandary and was hoping to find out what some of the locals have done. The story starts last Friday night when I was heading home from PRP down 22. The car in front of me hit a deer and left me no choice but to straddle it. As it turns out the deer was more 6-7 inches thick or whatever the stock ride height is. Minor damage to the front lip, undertray, tie bars, and most importantly the stock intercooler. Since the insurance is covering it, I have $825, or a little more if needed, to spend but the only catch is that I need to find one that fits and plumbs without cutting. Reason being, I don't know how competent the bodyshop is and they insisted on having a direct replacement. I would appreciate it if someone could push me in the right direction as for which one will give me the best bang for the buck with little modifications. I am thinking the Perrin might be a good choice but I am open for any brand.

Thanks

speaking of renting PRP... I ran all the numbers about a month ago. I'm not sure its worth the money they are asking, but here ya go anyway. Its expensive as is, and if you have somebody break on the track & oil it down it could be quite expensive.

"Minimum rental is 4 hours"

Number of cars:
1-12 cars - $300/hr (4 hours = $1200 + extras) absolute min = $100/car
12-20 = $350/hr (4 hours = $1400 + extras) absolute min = $70/car
21-40= $500/hr (4 hours = $2000 + extras) absolute min = $50/car
41-60=$650/hr (4 hours = $2600 + extras) absolute min = $43.33/car

Number of lanes:
1 = $0/hr
2 = $75/hr (4 hours = $300)

Traction compound (per lane)
330' $0/lane
660' $350/lane
1230' $500/lane

Track Staff (Per Hour) - if anybody cares to explain what each one of these is, PLEASE let me know.
tower $25/hr
head $25/hr
starter $25/hr
ET Slips $25/hr
Add'l Safety $25/hr

Oil Downs (I assume this is a reference to track clean up if somebody breaks)
60' or less = $150 x #
up to 330' = $300 x #
1/2 track = $500 x #
whole track = $700 x #

*there is an extra charge of $500 if the track lights are turned on*

Realistic #'s while still trying to keep cost down, assuming we have the maximum number of cars per pricing level
with the following scenario:
2 lanes ($75/hr = +$300)
330' traction compound (free)
starter ($25/hr X 4 = +$100)
ET Slips ($25/hr x 4 = +100)
oil downs paid for out of pocket by the individual that broke.
total price of minimal 'extras' = $500

13-20 cars (assuming 20): $95
21-40 cars (assuming 40): $62.50
41-60 cars (assuming 60): $51.67
