I almost got into it, but the real car is more money and hobby then I can
afford. Do they still use cut PVC pipe for tires? I remember they were
debuting drifting tires for RC when I was getting into it but never followed
up to see if they worked.

Those with problems on the EVO X, you can use the following link to file a formal complaint with the NHTSA. the process only took me 5 minutes.

Just a shootout update:

I am meeting my friends off exit 19 on I-80 Friday at noon - if anyone was going up Friday to stay the weekend and are looking to join up with a group to travel that is where and when. I will be leaving Pittsburgh about 10 am so I have time to pick up the 10 gallons of race gas i have sitting at my office

If anyone is going up Saturday or Sunday and don't have my cell# pm me and I can get it to you if you wanted to meet up.

That is all..........carry on.

I'll be going up on Sunday with Mike I beleive. I'll give you a ring when I'm there.

On a side note - A question for those track junkies. - If something should happen (like Jeremy said almost happened) while competing in a race and you wreck your car, will insurance cover it?

What kind of problem are you having? The main thing that I don't like is the notchy gearbox... but I have noticed it getting a lot better. I always get shafted when it comes to tranny's it seems. Although, the X shifts 155 % better than my VIII ever did. Other than that, my X hasn't really been any different from the VIII.

Typically if you said you were in a racing event they will not cover damages.
I have seen some insurance places that have additional coverage for race
cars.

Your insurance will probably try to drop you if you mention the word racing around them. I know State Farm did, so I said F8CK YOU to the lady and switched carriers. Then she had the nerve to ask me why I was being irrational and switching companies, ****ing ****.
