ok guys, my bro in law just bought a 09 lancer gts with the cvt paddle shifting thingy. 170hp. told him he shoulda got he the evo, but he just graduated college and got a real job. He wanted the ralliart, but they don't come out til september.
it's loaded with nav and everything, nice car. anybody know where to get parts for this thing? buschur has nothing listed and i'm a little outta touch where to get good mitsu parts. The only thing i've found is a k&n drop in filter.
he also wants the evo hood, i told him one thing at a time!

i was curious...for the next meet...has anyone ever got into the RC drift cars at all? i have one from a few years back, and thought it might be something to mess around with at the meet if anyone else had them...
I used to hang out there every now and then. Most of the time it was just high school BS. I don't think there were even too many riced out civics. I would've been happy to see other enthusiasts including riced out civics..., but most of that crew just drives Chevy Corsica's and **** like that. Some evo guys used to meet out there just for something to do. Every now and again some nice cars do come through there. I'll go up there with you if you want. I'll call my buddy and tell him to meet us there.

- which reminds me I need to get a helmet ordered soon......and I am also going to get something rigged up for an in car camera mount, so anyone who wants to put it in there car will be able to (depending on location it will probably be evo specific.

If you want to stay on the cheap look into removing the rear child seat harness hook. Someone did a post here about weldng a bolt to another but I just bought a handful of 1/4" nuts, bolts, and washers and was able poke a bolt up through the trunk to thread the camera onto... I was pretty happy with the vid and it took a few mins.

So I switched over to my cone filter last nite, I know big whoop!
However I encountered a problem I have not heard of. When I
went to take the MAF off of the air box, when I turned the nut the
slotted bolt broke it's plastic surround inside the airbox. This ended
up happening on all 4 nuts! It was ridiculous! I ended up basically
having to destroy the box to get the MAF off! WTF!..lol
