I see a few BBY's here and there. We definitely have more EVOs in one zip code than anywhere else in the U.S.

 

GL-3 has about 2.5% antiwear additives and is intended for moderate duty lubrication in truck transmissions. Its not recommended for hypoid gear applications.

GL-4 is for light to heavy duty applications. It has more antiwear additives, around 4%. This type of oil is more intended for transmissions with hypoid and bevel gears.

GL-5 is for severe duty. 6.5% antiscuffing additives. Designed around hypoid gears with significant displacement of the axis (IE: the gears thrust surfaces slip a lot on each other). Manufactures can make the oil work in synchroized transmissions and/or LSD tx cases and rear ends. A GL-5 can be made for tx cases ONLY and transmissions ONLY.

Break-in tune is on as of right now...14psi is fun after working on it for so long. Real tune will be done for the meet

 

Well I guess I will be the first to say. That 14psi never felt so strong

So Denny takes me for a quick spin. Opens her up and I fully understand immediatly that the car will be IGNORANT!!!

We hit 22 and see the newcomer black Evo VIII that me and Brian (thegame) have been seein around murrysville. He rolls up on us I point to the other lane, He comes up and he jumps on it. Pulls out infront for ehhh a quick second then the HTA35 on low low wastegate 14psi boost starts to reel him in and passes.

I believe that will qualify as Dennys first kill with this car already. Glad I could co-pilot during this moment.

This car is going to be fast very ****ing fast

I think that black evo just might be 91GSX's old evo. I think he had a lot of Buschur parts.

HAHA - Thanks Dan! I found out tonight from someone I know that the guy just bought that car about a month ago from an older guy. It's an 05 and it only had about 900 miles on it when he got it, so it was stock. Not sure if this guy has done anything yet, but I'll still take a kill even if it were stock since I was only running wastegate and on no real tune - simply pulled fuel so it wasn't so rich LOL!

Either way, I was happy all night. Took a couple of other people for a ride and they all said the same thing...they would never have guessed it's only 14psi

Fix a couple small issues, get my tune, and time to roll!

yo, that was my black evo viii. its an 04 i found in south hills with 900 miles. bought it bone stock and just got it back from buschur like 2 weeks ago. i was hoping you'd pull into the gym where i was parked because i wanted to bs with you. your car is sick no doubt, but i barely got on it man!! if i wouldve known you'd be posting about it, i might have hacked it a little harder. no worries though..... nice car though. sounds like a f***ing monster when it spools

 

by the way, i just got some simple bolt-ons from buschur: tb exhaust, intake, fuel pump, evo IX bov,mbc running 22lbs, and a flash. nothin special yet. only put down like 297awhp on his mustang.

Awesome - 297 is strong on Buschur's.

I only live up over the hill so we'll meet up, and a couple of other guys are really close as well.

That was pretty much my first time out on the road with the car after the build and all it has is a barely a base tune - 14psi and just fuel pulled so it's not so rich that it dies when it hits boost LOL. That's the only reason it was exciting. It gets tuned in 2 weeks.

Come to the meet and we can BS!
