I'm guessing he is refering to who installed it, and again just guessing.
I have actually seen some one improperly torque down cams and
seen a oem one snap in half. I have the cosworths and installed them
myself so (knock on wood) hope this doesn't happen to moi!

sucks how you keep getting bad batches of parts from big name manufacturers. that's some sh*tty luck eric.

first aem, now cosworth. that's rough man. hopefully you will have a good batch the next time around.

well, i'm sure your bad luck streak will be over soon enough and you can enjoy your car on the road for a bit before winter.

Yeah, well I bet you'd do better in a straight line if you didn't peg the knock sensor at WOT. Might want to look at that.

I'm getting closer when the road bends every year. Next track even will be interesting indeed. I've been practicing.

that was just a bad batch of gas, i ran it out of the tank and replaced it. no big deal.

from now on, nothing but sunoco or shell go in to my tank.

that was pretty wild though, getting to hear cyl 4 ping like f*cking submarine sonar.

That noise wasn't the engine. That was your fourth gear eating itself.

But yeah, Sunoco seems very consistent from place to place. Since I mostly puter around town on factory tune I get the cheapest 93 I can find. At 9:1 AFR it doesn't seem to matter.

Determined all of this already huh?? Damn you're good.

So if it was a bad batch, where are the other threads here on EvoM where others have experienced the same failure? You must be damn good to have talked Cosworth into replacing a broken cam sight-unseen that you purchased a year ago. And I'm sure SBR jumped right on this today to get that cam out since you're all paid up, right???

Is this "very soon" the same "very soon" that was going to produce your completed car every week since last November?

I'm confused now...Did "good things come to those who wait"???

Gonna drive it this winter? No "layup insurance" this year?
