Well, i got some good news and some bad news.

Good news:

Schaller would love to have us at their dealership. It seemed at first that it would have to be on a friday, but i managed to convince them of a saturday meet. They want to do it between 5-8pm on a saturday. Sadly, they can't go longer than that because they legally need an employee there to oversee us.

The bad news:

Because of the BBQ/Clinic they are running this coming saturday, there is not enough time for them to break everything down to give us room to meet

So what do we do now:

Well, we could either find someplace else and chalk up Schaller for the "future meet location" list like Pruven, or we could wait another week for the meet and use the time to plan things like food etc and wait for the weather to get more spring-like.

Since we all already planned to have the meet and i dont want to ask everyone to change it, i say we just figure it out w/ what we got. Im gonna call New Britain Parks & Recreation tomorrow and try to get a nearby park. Only problem with that, is if the park is closed "after dusk."

What do you all think?

i think if we cant go to the mitsu dealer we should go to proven i mean honestly a 45 minute ride is not that long and as far as organizing a giant caravan to go 45 minutes all you need is some printed out derection sheets hell for a 3000gt/stealth meet i was at a few years back we drove and hour to get to a track with no problems except for a few hot shots duing 145 on the freeway. but sence are cars don go 145 (execpt you lucky evo owners) i dont see a problem

**** I say we go to Ruby Tuesday's do our own meet and greet for about an hour or two until we can go to the dealership and then from the dealership we can all caravan to somewhere with a lighted parking lot that can fit all of us. If we at least make an appearance at the dealership they mill possibly do a meet/BBQ just for us this summer!

Here's what I say we do:
1) Meet at Ruby Tuesday's as planned at 2pm
2) Eat there, which will take about an 2 1/2 hours for all of us
3) Caravan to the dealership and chill 'till they kick us out
4) Travel to a vacant lighted parking lot and do our own thing'till they kick us out
5) Figure out the rest of the night from there

Just my idea! And Jack since you said they can accomidate us on saturday from 5-8pm you should make at least 35 copies of directions their for everyone incase anyone strays from the group and what not.

Another thing....I think that we should have North East Lancer Club Decals made.
I know a guy who can make them in any color and design...just an idea.

Hey, this is OneEyedJack im over at DaTenshi's house.

Just a few problems with your suggestions:
-Going to mitsu dealership in what large number we are amassing will be pointless because they will not have room to accomodate us. Otherwise, we would just go to their Mitsu BBQ to begin with!
-any vacant ligthed parking lot around here would be on the Pike. And on the pike, they dont just kick you out. They hand out $60 tickets, and inspect cars if they are feeling nasty.
-We cant just go to the mitsu dealership becuase they cant accomdate us THIS saturday.

Our best bets:
-Reschedule the meet.
Pros: Weather will be AWESOME next week, 60's and up, dealer can accomodate us, and we have some time to plan some extra stuff like food.
Cons: Everyone is already set for the meet this weekend, and alot of people might not be able to attend if we shift it.

-Go to Pruven.
Pros: They can take us, will have food, and we can stay late. Also, there will be a dyno
Cons: It may be too late for them to schedule us (Alfried?), its very far away.

-Just go to Ruby's and find someplace else.
Pros: Right now looking like our best option.
Cons: Well, cops on the pike are pretty rutheless.

Yeah, sorry bout the missunderstanding on how many cars they can accomidate at the dealership. Personally I can make it to Pruven without a problem, but I was just concerned on the turnout of the cars if we travel 45 minutes from the origonal meeting place

I'm up for a meet reschedule:
Here's why:

1- Weather: Saturday April 12th, will be a rainy Saturday, showers, with a high of 51 degrees dropping to 34 degrees at night!

2- After Ruby's we won't have much to do! Many people will not go t Pruven.

3- On a personal note, I haven't been able to finalize my mods for the meet because of weather but I got a coule of things to do to get my Lancer ready for the meet, prolly will do them Saturday.

4-Last but not least, in two weeks we will have better weather and OneEyedJack can prolly work something out with the dealer for us.

Let's see what the rest of you decide about the meet,
Given the previous information I might not assist, but things could change from now until Saturday.

If anyone is up for meeting on the 27th, there is a huge outdoor car show about a 5 minutes ride from downtown Springfield. Last year they had around a 300 car turnout and this year are expecting about 450-500. It is held at TNT Imports in Ludlow, Mass. We could go as a club and definetly pull the club trophies, best JDM, Japanese, Mitsubishi, and possibly best in show if an Evo or shows up from Pruven's lineup. Let me know if u want to reschedual the 12th meet and try to go to this one. It is about 45 minutes south of Pruven Performance, which itself is right off og I-91.

I am sure Pruven will at least let us gather there in their giant parking lot to hang out with no sweat

I am NOT sure about thier dyno schedule at this point (I will check tomorrow) so we may not be able to do the dyno runs that day

As far as food and stuff - obviously its too late to set that up - but it should make for an ineteresting meet just to go there and see what they are doing with thier race car and new EVO

I will talk to Dan at pruven tomorrow and let you guys know for sure

It would be nice if we could get at least 3 or 4 new evo's on the dyno to see some baseline pulls and how close they all are

****in' A. Some people had weekend plans involving hotel reservations and whatnot. I think now is a VERY bad time to start backing out. Show or don't show, but let's at least stick with the original idea whether it's 10 cars or 20+ cars.

...oh and people too.

PS - if it does not work out for this weekend then I will set up a dyno day sometime in late May for all the EVO crowd for sure

I am thinking a SUBY vs. dyno challange - and a nice prize to the winner of the ultimate dyno pull of the day - its under thought

I agree with Hobie, people have made reservations at multiple hotels and some are driving up to 6 hrs just to get there. Not to mention we ALL have jobs and some of us did have to use a vacation day just to get it off for this meet.

Me and DaTenshi will go find us a place close by.

We can do it.
