Ill tlak to him and see if we could all make it out to his place and you could get a chance to see the VividRacing Evo...( yes it's in ohio) It is being worked out right now in at Mead Engineering
There is another forum that is based in dayton the cruises a lot. There are i think 7 evos on this site. Invite only
Pm me if you guys want more details
VividRacing Evo is in Columbus now? I thought that one guy down in Cincy has it, the person that also bought the Sparco Evo. Anyways... Let's all make a pilgrimage to Mead to see it....or can I just show up and they'll let me look at it...and touch it...
Pilgrimage sounds nice.
I went and talked to Somebody named rick at IPS once. Its sort of an install only shop, no dyno. The guy brett who works there is knowledgeable and an engineer.
Truthfully, anything short of rebuilding a transfercase or machine work, I'd recommend doing it yourself, save some money. Maybe get some people to help. Or if we can get together and have an install day or something. For tuning, there is this guy down in Dayton. Works for Honda prototype engine development and teaches EFI university with Ben Strader. Awesome guy, very friendly and extensively knowledgeable. He has a keen interest in evos and will actually start bringing the new plug and play autronic boxes. He is great guy, and will talk with you extensively about tuning needs. I'm trying to get Arie(red cols evo guy) to come down with me and meet him. He is THE guy to talk to about tuning in this area who I have yet to meet. I'm going to try to get a group together for an evo meet and have him come down.

The guy that owns it is in cincy but it is in columbus getting fixed at mead
People pretty much show up everyday and what not and though you would not be able to touch it, you look at it as it's parked.

Bryon can tune AEM EMS, UTEC, HYDRA, E-MANAGE, S-AFC ETC. He has all of the Wideband equipement to do it with and he can do fabrication or welding.
A short list of the cars that regualarly show up there
9 sec capable talon
my low 12 sec evo
another 11 sec road race evo
another low 12 sec evo
a low 11 capable big turbo Sti
mid to high 11 big turbo Sti
another buschur stage 4 +
Vivid Evo big turbo
My brother's Stage 2 STi
There are more but that who i can think off the top of my head. Basically all the evo guys that i know from dayton love Bryon's work

I had a stage 4 head installed and 272 cams done, once it was done there was a vibration and they thought it was my transfer case. Futher down the road I had buschur install a stand alone and they told me my balance shaft was not in time with the cams. Buschur fixed the problem then and took like 40 minutes. I know bryon has done many other cams on cars without problems and maybe my car was a freak thing. I am just sticking with buschur cause they know the evo in and out.
Holy **** this thread exploded! Glad to know us Columbus guys are talking. This is what I like to see. So here's the plan... I'm flying up to Chicago this weekend to pick the car up. Just talked to the dealer today - they got it in and it has 6 mi on the odometer.
I'll spend the weekend with the family and then drive back down here tuesday in the VIII. But yeah, weather is starting to get nice, we gotta all meet up. I'm down for taking a trip to see this Vivid Evo or whatever. So let's definately plan something.
I'll let you guys know when I'm back. Later all.
